Taylor Swift is "obsessed" with number 13.

The 'Love Story' hitmaker has reportedly been talked out of getting a tattoo of her favourite digit etched onto her arm after her family told her it would be bad for her image.

A source told gossip website Absolute Now: "Taylor has this weird connection with the number 13 which goes back to when she was a kid. It's her lucky number. Every time she has won an award she has sat in seat number 13, and the number keeps cropping up in good times for her.

"She was even going to get a tattoo on her arm but her folks have stepped in and convinced her it could be kind of unlucky for her look."

It was previously claimed that Taylor's friend Miley Cyrus has urged her to get some body art.

The 17-year-old 'Hannah Montana' star reportedly wanted her pop singer pal to get the words "Just Breathe" - which Miley has etched under her left breast - inked onto her body.

A popular and eye-popping mix of stars like Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga drew a TV audience of 25.8 million Americans to the Grammy Awards -- the biggest TV audience for the telecast in six years, according to preliminary television ratings on Monday.

The 3-1/2 hour music awards show on CBS on Sunday enjoyed a 35 percent increase on last year and was the most-watched Grammy telecast since 2004, according to early date from Nielsen.

Last year, 19.05 million Americans watched the performance and awards show from Los Angeles.

Sunday's show saw R&B singer Beyonce take home six Grammys while 20-year-old country sensation Taylor Swift -- whose "Fearless" was the biggest-selling album of 2009 -- won four and became the youngest artist to win the coveted Grammy for album of the year.

In a televised ceremony heavier on performances than award handouts, outlandish newcomer Lady Gaga paired up with equally flamboyant pop veteran Elton John, while Michael Jackson's children Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11, made a rare public appearance to accept a lifetime achievement award for the "Thriller" singer who died in June.

The big TV ratings brought some cheer to the recording industry which is fighting a losing battle to maintain traditional sales in an era of legal and illegal downloads and the rival attractions of video games and social networking.

Jon Pareles of The New York Times said the Grammy's "got lucky" this year with a range of top nominees "who barnstormed arenas last year."

"The Grammys have found the right balance of performance and award, which is to say, the awards are strictly a sideshow. A recording business desperate for sales wants to expose as many items as possible, and most performers were introduced along with their song titles in case anybody wanted to download them immediately," Pareles wrote.

Country singer Taylor Swift (pictured) has said she is 'so excited' to be nominated for eight Grammys but hasn't picked her dress yet. The 19-year-old Love Story star is up for eight gongs at the ceremony on January 31 and said she is looking forward to it.

She said: "I get nervous about everything! I am just so excited to be nominated for eight Grammys. That is sort of still unfathomable for me.
"I've never won one Grammy, so please wish me luck. I'm performing too, so hopefully that comes together." Talking about her dress, she said: "I still have to find something to wear! But I think it'll all come together that day before!"

More music notes...Leona Lewis is set to perform on the UK version of talent show So You Think You Can Dance. Lewis, 24, has achieved a number one single in more than 34 countries and will sing her latest track I Got You on the BBC show.
Other performers who have graced the stage on the show include Alexandra Burke, JLS, Mika and Lemar, and Robbie Williams is set for the finale of the series on February 13.
The show is hosted by British presenter Cat Deeley and over the first four episodes of the series, it has gained an average rating of 6.1 million viewers.

Joe Jonas says he has been "reconnecting" with ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. The 20-year old singers dated briefly before splitting in 2008. Trans World News reports Joe as saying about Taylor, "We've been kind of reconnecting, which is good."

Swift was recently linked with singer John Mayer through a dinner 'date', though her representative quickly denied any romance between Taylor and Jennifer Aniston's ex boyfriend.

More Jonas love notes...Nick Jonas feels flattered by rumors that he is seeing his ex, Selena Gomez. Gomez stopped by to visit him during his touring leg in Chicago. MTV reports Jonas said: "[It's] not so much a surprise. The thing that's kind of funny to me is the fact that I'm still very young. As far as a relationship, it's kind of young stuff, and people being interested in that is funny to me, but it's all good. It's flattering, and that's how you have to look at it."
Jonas said he included covers by Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift on upcoming solo album Who I Am. Swift, he said, has even started to follow him on Twitter.
"I really haven't heard from them directly. I noticed that Taylor started following me [on Twitter] after I played her song, which is cool. I think they're great songs and I'm just happy to throw them in there and play them in the set. I think a great song is a great song at the end of the day."

Actor Joaquin Phoenix has resurfaced in Miley Cyrus video. Phoenix last appeared looking desperate for attention with a beard and some story about looking to be a rap star and break into the music business.

NYC Real Housewife star Kelly Bensimon is confirmed in Playboy. The striking beauty and well-endowed 42-year old "Real Housewives of New York" reality TV personality will be taking it off! She gets a six-page spread in the March issue to show off her wares.

More Playboy notes...TV reality star Kendra Wilkinson showed off a new picture of her baby son Hank on Twitter yesterday, showing that he is already into basketball. In the snap, one-month-old Hank is wearing an Air Jordan hat and Nike basketball shirt, while he dozes off. Hank's dad is American football star Hank Baskett, who the former Playboy model married in a lavish ceremony at the Playboy Mansion last June.  
Wilkinson, 24, recently revealed that her son already has crushes on two female celebrities. She wrote: "So I learned who lil Hank's crushes are... Taylor Swift and @OfficialAudrina [The Hills' Audrina Partridge] lol."

Taylor Swift is building a pond in her living room.

The 'Love Story' singer is planning to turn her new home in Nashville, Tennessee, into a fairytale palace and can't wait for building work to be completed.

She said: "It's going to be my fantasy world. There's a pond in the living room... The pond is a moat around the fireplace and may possibly have koi fish in it."

The pond is not the only unusual feature the 20-year-old star is planning for her home as she has also come up with a unique design for an observatory - a human bird cage.

She explained to Rolling Stone magazine: "You step on a stepping stone in the pond in order to get on a spiral staircase, which takes you up to the human-sized bird cage observatory.

Taylor Swift has revealed her love rules to Girls Life Magazine. Even with that, the question many are more interested in, and are asking now to Taylor goes something like this, 'Are you really dating John Mayer?' If you look at her rules for love, the answer is likely no.

While the rumor mill grinds out an answer on the latest possible (or impossible) romance for Jennifer Aniston's ex and the much younger Swift, RadarOnline.com notes the sweet crossover singer has moved on from her last boyfriend (the bare chested New Moon and Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner), and she wants to lay down some ground rules for love for the next boyfriend.  

One of her rules she reveals is to 'make a clean break' while another is 'love being single,' she says in the report.  
She even skips that whole February 14th holiday. "I typically don't ever have a boyfriend on Valentine's Day. I see it as an opportunity to just hang out with my other single girlfriends."

Joe Jonas loves being single.

The Jonas Brothers singer - who has previously dated singer Taylor Swift and actress Camilla Belle - hasn't been in a relationship for eight months and is enjoying living life without committing to anyone.

He told People magazine: "This is the longest I've ever been single actually. I love it. I still date and things like that but just not committed, which is nice."

While Joe is currently single, his brother and bandmate Kevin Jonas recently married Danielle Deleasa

Joe, 20, reportedly joked he tried to date his new sister-in-law first.

In his best man's speech at the couple's December wedding, Joe said: "I'm the one responsible for getting them together. I hit on Danielle first."

Meanwhile, with Kevin focusing on married life and third group member Nick Jonas busy with his side project, Nick Jonas and the Administration, Joe is using his down time from the trio to launch a Hollywood career.
