Sarah Jessica Parker has accidentally branded her husband "average".

The 'Sex and the City 2' actress - who has seven-year-old James Wilkie and 11-month-old twins Marion and Tabitha with spouse Matthew Broderick - made the gaffe while discussing how she is relieved that her son is one of the oldest in his class because he is so short.

She told US TV talk show host David Letterman: "James is, for the moment, more on the diminutive side. Some might call it a Napoleon complex, his age gives him some confidence because he is so mature. He's a brainiac... well I think so, naturally.

"'He's not quite tiny - that's on my husband's side - well, actually Matthew is average..."

The 45-year-old star - who stands 5ft 3in compared with the actor's 5ft 8in - tried to backtrack on her comments, insisting her husband is only "average in height" and not any of his other attributes.

The 45-year-old star also claimed her husband has no problem watching her get intimate with another actor in any of her movies.

Sarah Jessica Parker was so nervous about her red carpet dress for the world premiere of 'Sex and the City 2' she could barely sleep.

The actress - who wore a neon yellow Valentino gown to the New York premiere of the movie at Radio City Music Hall last night (24.05.10) - admitted the pressure to look as stylish as her character Carrie Bradshaw was so huge she had been biting her nails and struggled to get some rest.

She said: "This movie took a long time to make. I cared about being presentable to that degree. I never want to embarrass my children or my family. It's always lovely to get to borrow a beautiful dress. I didn't sleep at all last night. I'm still so nervous. Look at my cuticles!"

Her co-star Cynthia Nixon - who portrays Miranda Hobbes in the film which sees the four friends travel from New York to the sand dunes of Abu Dhabi on an all-expenses paid trip - revealed she is unlike her fashionable character and prefers comfortable flat shoes to high heels.

Kim Cattrall can't believe how many 'Sex and the City 2' posters she has seen.

The actress - who portrays man-eating businesswoman Samantha Jones in the TV series and films - is still shocked by the popularity of the franchise and finds it odd when she see pictures of herself plastered near her home in New York City.

She said: "It's very difficult because I'm so inside of it, I struggle to have any objectivity. But when I arrived home - I've been in London doing a play for five months - there were posters everywhere I looked!"

The 53-year-old actress believes 'Sex and the City' has been such a success because the four main characters - who are portrayed by Kim, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - are relatable to everyone.

The actress has revealed she, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis got very close while making the second film in the North African country and even got into bed with one another.

Sarah Jessica - who plays Carrie Bradshaw in the phenomenally successful franchise - said in an interview with The Sun newspaper: "Being away for that long made our bond even closer and I think you can see that on screen. We lived together, ate every single meal together, stayed in one dressing room together - we sometimes slept in the same bed together."

The 45-year-old star admits it was difficult being away from her husband Matthew Broderick, seven-year-old son James Wilkie and twins Marion and Tabitha - who were born last year via a surrogate mother.

"I love beautiful clothes and am privileged enough to have access to a lot of them, but they're returned the next day. They're not mine!"

Sarah Jessica raises three children, son James Wilkie, seven, and 10-month-old twin daughters, Marion and Tabitha, from a surrogate, with her actor husband Matthew Broderick.

Sarah Jessica Parker didn't tell her son she was having twins via a surrogate so he wouldn't have the "burden" of keeping a secret.

The 'Sex and the City' actress and husband Matthew Broderick welcomed daughters Marion and Tabitha last June but had to keep the news of the pregnancy a secret for long time, which included not saying anything to seven-year-old James Wilkie.

She said: "We couldn't talk about the fact that we were having children with anybody outside of us for ages. I had to be very careful about telling James so that he wasn't burdened with a secret - and, more importantly, I wanted him to be able to have time to adjust to sharing his mama and papa."

Sarah and Matthew used a surrogate mother as they struggled to conceive naturally again and the 45-year-old star admits she it was hard missing out on carrying the babies herself.

Sarah Jessica Parker doesn't regret going back to work just four months after the birth of her daughters.

The actress - who has seven-year-old son James Wilkie and 11-month-old twins Marion and Tabitha with husband Matthew Broderick - started filming 'Sex and the City 2' soon after her girls were born to a surrogate mother but insists it was the right thing to do.

She explained: "We wanted a larger family and the twins blessedly came into the world and it just happened that four months later I had to start the sequel and there wasn't much I could do about it.

"I wouldn't change the timing as it means now I'm done for a long time. I have the freedom that a lot of working mothers don't have and I can afford to make that choice."

Sarah Jessica Parker has no relationship regrets.

The 'Sex and the City' actress - who has three children, James, seven, and 10-month-old twins Tabitha and Marion with husband Matthew Broderick - admits she's learnt a lot about relationships over the years, and while she now knows what true love is, she looks back on her past fondly.

The 45-year-old star - who has previously dated Robert Downey Jr. - said: "When you're younger, you get swept away by grand gestures. When you have children and years invested, it's more complicated. It's the day-to-day stuff, the kind of parent you are, the kind of partner you are. It's the little and big things. But you're not meant to know that when you're younger, so I don't think anybody should regret choices they make in their twenties."

The actress also admits she struggles to get the right balance between being a wife and mother and having a successful career.

"But never at work. No one at 'Sex and the City' has ever asked any of us four girls to lose weight. Thank God."

Kristin is also very grateful to 'Sex and the City' for giving her an incredible career.
