Hollywood actress
Penelope Cruz has said she never wants to get to the stage where she is lying about her age. Cruz, 36, who has a role in the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie opposite
Johnny Depp, said she doesn't want to feel the pressures of aging as she grows older.
She said to UK magazine You: "I never want to lie about my age. If I look around at the actresses I admire, they are all women who have not fought growing older, but embraced it - women like Sophia Loren or
Audrey Hepburn.
"I was very close to both of my grandmothers growing up - they lived long into old age and they were always beautiful to me. They loved life and it showed in their faces.
"Of course my face will change as I get older, but that's OK. It's a good thing to be old, because that means you haven't died yet right? And when I do get older, I want to have the grace to be proud of it, not to lie about it or try to fight it."

The 46-year-old actor - who plays Captain Jack Sparrow in the 'Pirates' franchise - appeared in character in a pre-recorded video at the annual fan convention Comic-Con at the San Diego Convention Center, California, to tell people what will happen in the fourth movie.
He said fans can look forward to "zombies, cutthroats, mermaids, and the vicious and vivacious
Penelope Cruz". In character Johnny explained rumors regarding a storyline involving the Fountain of Youth were untrue.
He said: "You may have also heard whisperings and rumors that Jack Sparrow will be recruiting a crew to undertake a voyage to the Fountain of Youth. Not true, course not. But you wouldn't be interested in joining me, would you?"
And Captain Jack promised "variable and substantial dangers on the way."
The teaser ends with the pirate promising "Bloody Marys all round!"
Johnny recently admitted he loved his character so much that he would do up to seven movies if he could.
He said: "Some people will say, 'Aha, Depp sold out by doing the sequels.' But it was never an issue for me. I love Captain Jack so much I'd do 'Pirates 7' if they asked me."
Although Depp is returning to the Disney franchise his co-stars from the first three films;
Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom, and Mackenzie Crook are not coming back for the sequel.

Valentine’s Day star
Emma Roberts has revealed that she sometimes forgets that her aunt,
Julia Roberts, is a world-famous Hollywood actress. In an interview with US magazine Foam, the 4321 star said that she only recently remembered how well-known her aunt is after flicking through a magazine and seeing the Pretty Woman star in a Lancôme ad.
“It made me stop and think,” she said. “You go, ‘Oh yeah. You’re not Aunt Julia to everyone. You’re Julia Roberts. That’s crazy’.” The 19-year-old actress, who has recently signed up to appear in Scream 4, appears on the August/September cover of the US magazine.
Inside, she opens up about being part of an acting dynasty that also includes another aunt, Lisa Roberts Gillian, and father Eric Roberts. “Everyone tried to steer me away from acting,” she says.
“Finally, my mother let me go on an audition for [movie] Blow to shut me up, and then I got the part.
“Luckily, my family has been really supportive.”
Roberts made her screen debut playing the daughter of
Johnny Depp and
Penelope Cruz in the 2001 movie about a drug-smuggler. Roberts also spoke about visiting her aunt on the set of the 2001 romantic comedy America’s Sweethearts.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, which I thought was the coolest.”

Spanish film stars Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz were married in an intimate ceremony in the Bahamas this month, Cruz's publicist told People.com.
The couple, who are known for keeping their relationship private, first met on the set of "Jamon, Jamon" in 1992. They reportedly started dating in 2007.
Few details about their wedding were released to People.com Wednesday other than that the ceremony took place at a friend's house and Cruz wore a gown designed by her longtime friend John Galliano.
Bardem won an Oscar for his work in 2007's "No Country for Old Men," while Cruz picked up her Oscar the following year for her performance in "Vicky Cristina Barcelona."

Spanish actors Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz have joined the ranks of Oscar-winning married couples after tying the knot in the Bahamas earlier this month, according to several celebrity magazines on Tuesday.
The family-only ceremony took place at a friend's house, the magazine reports said. Cruz wore a John Galliano dress. It was not clear when the nuptials occurred.
The actors, each marrying for the first time, started dating in 2007. Cruz, 36, who previously dated Tom Cruise, won an Academy Award in 2009 for her supporting role in "Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Bardem, 41, won his statuette a year earlier for "No Country For Old Men."
They joined a select club of Oscar-winning couples, including Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, Joel Coen and Frances McDormand, and songwriters Alan and Marilyn Bergman.

As the film hoists its sales and weighs anchor to start shooting, the cast of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is getting ever more international, with Australian model Gemma Ward signing on to play a mermaid.
While the Courier Mail (via the team at Moviehole) reports that it’s just a small role, she’ll be tasked with the difficult mission of looking good while wet and enticing men, alongside Astrid Berges-Frisbey, who is playing a fellow foxy sea-dweller.
Ward, last seen in The Strangers, joins a growing ensemble that includes Johnny Depp (assuming he doesn’t decided to take a break and make everyone wait to make the thing), Ian McShane, Penelope Cruz, Stephen Graham, The Losers’ Oscar Jaenada, British thesp Sam Clafin and, of course, Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa. Rush has been assumed as returning for a while now, but only recently put pen to paper on an official contract. Perhaps he was holding out for more pieces of eight. BECAUSE HE’S A PIRATE. DO YOU SEE? Oh, please yourself.
Talking of pieces of eight, this latest Pirates outing will be setting sail with a reduced budget, though reduced is a relative term considering this has Jerry Bruckheimer still on board as producer and the budget of other movies could probably just about pay for beard maintenance on this one.
Rob Marshall is the man charged with keeping it afloat, and is probably pointing his camera at scurvy dogs even as you read this.

Ahoy! Aaaargh! Pieces of eight! Savvy, etc… Just trying to get you in the right buccaneer mood for news that Penelope Cruz is in negotiations to join Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
It’s somewhat of a surprising bit of casting info, given that you wouldn’t normally expect to see Cruz cropping up in such a hefty tent pole, and especially since her “bigger” films have tended to be the mis-firing likes of Captain Corelli's Mandolin Gothika, Sahara. Oh, and a voice on G-Force.
But as those titles suggest, she doesn’t always swim in indie waters and with her Nine director – the man who helped her score her latest Oscar nomination – Rob Marshall at the helm for this next Pirates adventure, plus what sounds like a meaty role written as an equal/foil to Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow, you can see why she might dive in. And that’s the end of the watery puns.
She’ll be reporting for duty in Hawaii this summer for a story that finds Sparrow searching for the Fountain of Youth. If the shoot is plain sailing (dang it!), the film will dock in May 2011.

All we know so far about Melancholia is that's it's being touted by its director as a "psychological disaster movie". Which, frankly, isn't revealing a great deal bearing in mind that that director is Lars Von Trier. We'd assume some sort of devastating endurance test if he was making a film about Snoopy.
One more nugget of information about the film may just have come to light however, as the Playlist have noticed various sources within Europe reporting that Penelope Cruz is playing the lead. Von Trier apparently told Danish television that he'd written Melancholia with Cruz in mind from the very beginning. What's her character? We don't know yet, but it's a brave actress who'd sign up to work with the man who circumcised Charlotte Gainsbourg and hung Bjork.
The film, from what's been teased so far, seems to involve a large planet appearing in a dangerously close orbit to Earth. Sci-fi and disaster movie elements have been acknowledged as being part of the project, but the emphasis seems firmly on psychodrama. Von Trier estimates the budget at $5m, and plans to start shooting later in the year, for a Cannes premiere in 2011. Surely 2012 would have been more appropriate?
