American Beauty star Mena Suvari has reportedly got married in Vatican City. The 31-year-old actress, who has been married once before, is thought to have tied the knot with concert producer Simone Sestito on Saturday.

Wedding guests told a US website the nuptials took place in a private church. “The ceremony was truly unique and Mena looked breathtaking,” the source said.

"They are very much in love.” After the wedding, the couple reportedly threw a private reception outside Vatican City.
Suvari, who famously played Angela in 1999 movie American Beauty, met Italian-American Sestito at the Toronto Film Festival in 2007. The couple got engaged the following year during a holiday to Jamaica.

Mena Suvari is to marry her fiance in Rome this summer.

The 'American Beauty' actress - who got engaged to music promoter Simone Sestito in July 2008 - are now finalising details for their Italian ceremony, though no specific wedding date has yet been given.

A source said: "They can't wait to get married and Mena is so excited because she's just had her dress fitting with Alice + Olivia designer Stacey Bendet. The wedding will be a stunning affair."

Last year, Mena revealed she was desperate to find a wedding dress which will cover her tattoos as she wants to respect her fiance's religious family.

She said: "I think it would be considerate to Simone's family to have my tattoos covered, since there are two Catholic nuns on his mother's side of the family."

The 30-year-old star also said finding love with Simone gave her hope after ending her six-year marriage to cinematographer Robert Brinkmann in 2006.

She explained: "I think you just know when you have found 'The One'. It's a feeling. Relationships are challenging, but I love him and he's very good to me. I think you know when you know.

Making her way to Sin City for a laid-back weekend, Mena Suvari was in attendance at the Azure pool at The Palazzo in Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon (August 22).

Showing off her sexy bikini body in a tiny green two-piece suit, the "Factory Girl" actress happily posed for pictures while joined by fiance Simone Sestito.

Talking to press during her visit to Vegas, Mena chatted about her shiny diamond ring - which she received when Simone proposed last year.

"He proposed in Toronto. It was a very private exchange. He got down on one knee and it was really nice,” she recalled. “He was very nervous and I was really nervous.”

In the midst of planning their wedding ceremony, Miss Suvari tells that the two plan to tie the knot next June, saying, “We’re getting married in Italy."

Of the dress she plans to wear for her walk down the aisle, Mena reveals, “I want something very … romantic-chic but a little bit of twist of modern."

Taking full advantage of the beautiful weather, Mena Suvari was spotted having a blast on the beach in Mexico yesterday afternoon (July 6).

The “American Beauty” babe was joined by her boyfriend Sestito Simone as she frolicked in the sand and splashed in the sea.

Always looking on top of her game, Miss Suvari displayed her tight and toned body while sporting a colorful two-piece halter-style bikini.

And at one point, Mena and Sestito opted for some motorized fun and rented a wave runner to tear up the surf.

Making the most of some mild spring weather, Mena Suvari was spotted out and about in Los Angeles, California last night (June 15).

The “American Pie” hottie looked stylish as she strolled past the paparazzi, sporting a black blazer with a white shirt, dark trousers and black flats.

As for her film career, Ms. Suvari has been keeping herself plenty busy with a new project written and directed by Rob Hedden called “You May Not Kiss the Bride.”

And Mena has a fun cast to work with, as Vinnie Jones, Rob Schneider, Tia Carrere, and Katharine McPhee are all on board as well.

Having convincingly cut up rough in Quantum Of Solace – and earned herself a Jameson Empire Awards Best Actress nomination – Olga Kurylenko is playing another vengeance-fuelled femme fatale, this time in Neil Marshall’s Centurion.

According to the script her character, Etain, is “a savage-looking Pict warrior woman” and you can judge the accuracy of the description yourself, by taking a gander at Empire’s exclusive picture of the erstwhile Bond girl in action.

Marshall dealt with military mayhem in Dog Soldiers, women forced to violence in The Descent and Scotland-set carnage in Doomsday and is combining all three in his fourth feature, a relentless action-adventure set in AD 117 (63 years before the events of Gladiator).

“Etain is kind of revenge incarnate,” says the writer/director, speaking to Empire exclusively on set. “Her family were butchered by the Romans, she had her tongue cut out by the Romans, she’s had a hell of a time and she’s out for Roman blood.”

“She’s quite furious,” agrees Kurylenko. “Because one sense is not there – she can’t speak – all the others are more developed. She sees very well and hears very well: she is an animal!”

Kurylenko stars alongside Hunger’s Michael Fassbender, who plays the title character, stranded behind enemy lines, and a superb roster of established and up’n’coming talent, including Dominic West, Noel Clarke, David Morrisey, JJ Feild and Riz Ahmed (soon to be seen in the rather excellent Brit-grit thriller Shifty, out April 24).

Centurion is being produced by Slumdog Millionaire Oscar-snaffler Christian Colson and Robert Jones (Run Fatboy Run) and Empire has visited its sets in both Scotland and Surrey and witnessed the action and intensity up close, so expect regular updates online and in the magazine, in the build up to its release (likely to be later this year).
