French Nuns will sing on the same label as Lady Gaga.  The new musical offering won't be aimed at the same audience, however as the Toronto Star reveals the nuns of the Abbaye de Notre Dame de l’Annonciation near the southern French city of Avignon were chosen for the label after worldwide search for female Gregorian chant performers.

Their debut album is "Voices - Chant from Avignon," and will feature an ancient style of the Gregorian Chant.

For Gaga fans, she may suffer from jet lag...Lady Gaga (pictured) has jetted round the world FIVE times in just one year. The Poker Face star has racked up 130,000 air miles in the past 12 months, traveling to 78 different cities on her Monster Ball World Tour. That's the equivalent of circling the earth's circumference almost five times over.
At one point she flew from Germany to New York City on May 12 to perform with Elton John and Sting on May 13 - then the next day flew back to Europe to play in the Netherlands.

And while the 24-year-old has taken in four of the world's seven continents in the last year, it has not been without its dangers. She was forced to cancel a gig in Indiana in January after she collapsed backstage.
She revealed on social networking site Twitter: "An hour before the show, I was feeling dizzy and having trouble breathing." Paramedics warned her she was suffering from exhaustion and dehydration. Her Monster Ball tour is set continue into 2011.

Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber could overtake Lady Gaga and become YouTube's biggest star. At the moment, the Alejandro singer is leading the way with the most viewed video on the site.
  
Gaga's hit tune Bad Romance has around a whooping 245,092,000 views.

But Justin’s single Baby could possibly take over the 24-year-old's video. Bieber’s song has about 245,071,000 views.
Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has the fifth most-viewed video for her single Party in the USA.

Kylie Minogue will play a heavily tattooed lesbian in "Jack and Diane," which stars Juno Temple and Riley Keough as teen lovers.  Keough is Elvis Presley's granddaughter.

A source tells the NY Post, "Kylie does have one love scene where she kisses a girl. Her fans will be surprised to see her in this role, but her performance is good."

More Kylie news - the pop star and actress has said that her new album Aphrodite was partly inspired by Lady Gaga.
The 42 year-old told Out magazine: "Lady Gaga dropped a meteor in the middle of the pop landscape - which is amazing. But it meant that we had to take that into account." The singer added: "It wouldn't have made any sense to go down that road to try to fit in."
Minogue has been in the music industry a lot longer than Gaga but admits she still takes bad reviews to heart. She said: "It cuts like a knife if I read a bad review."

Lady Gaga says the secret to flamboyant stage outfits is whiskey. The singer is renowned for her lavish costumes, and dresses just as ostentatiously in her everyday life as when she is performing.

In the past, she has gone out for dinner wearing just her underwear and was spotted fishing in eight-inch heels while in New Zealand. She has become so famous for her bizarre fashion tastes she now worries about letting her fans down by dressing too normally.
Gaga has found sipping alcohol helps her come up with outrageous ideas, and has encouraged her stylist to indulge in spirits too. “We have a cigarette and whiskey and look through racks of clothing,” the singer explained. “It's organic, there's no pretense or preconception. And it always works the best.”
The 24-year-old recently admitted her penchant for unusual clothing is all part of the image she has built up around her. She likes to surprise people and make them think, and insists donning strange outfits is an easy way of doing that.
“No artist should ever want to be bland. I dress to get people to stare, I say a lot of things for shock value and I do a lot of things to deliberately unsettle people - like going around in my underwear in the middle of winter,” she said. “It gets a big reaction.”

Britney Spears is the latest mega pop star to be getting a "Glee"-full makeover.

"We are writing a Britney Spears episode," Ryan Murphy, creator of the hit musical comedy TV show, told celebrity news show Entertainment Tonight.

It was not clear whether Spears, 28, the biggest pop music phenomenon of the early 2000s with hits like "Oops!...I Did It Again" and "Piece of Me", would also appear in the episode planned for the new season which starts in the fall.

"Glee", which won 19 Emmy nominations on Thursday, based two episodes earlier this year on the music of Madonna and Lady Gaga but neither of the singers appeared on the show.

"Glee", about a struggling high school show choir that sings cover versions of pop, Broadway and hip-hop tunes, was one of the most-talked about TV programs of the last year.

It produced three hit albums of music while also sending sales soaring for the original artists whose music is featured, and its young stars recently completed a U.S. concert tour.

Producers however have denied reports that Spanish movie star Javier Bardem, who won an Oscar in 2008 for his role in "No Country for Old Men", would appear as a guest in the new season.

"No, javierbardemjenniferanistonjuliarobertsbradpittelvis katieholmestomcruiseandu2 are not appearing in season 2. But wouldn't it be fun...." Dante Di Loreto, an executive producer for "Glee", said in a Twitter message earlier this week.

Lady Gaga has inadvertently sparked a trend for bizarre-looking contact lenses that doctors fear could leave some of her fans blind. The pop superstar wowed fans with her wide and bright-colored eyes in her Bad Romance video.

Now fans are literally going gaga trying to copy the look, importing special 'Circle' contact lenses from Asia.
But eye specialists fear the effect the trend could have, warning that any not given through a prescription can be extremely dangerous.

Karen Riley, a spokeswoman for the Food and Drug Administartion in the US, insists: "Consumers risk significant eye injuries, even blindness when they buy contact lenses without a valid prescription or help from an eye professional."
Dr. Barry Eiden, chairman of the contact lens and cornea section of the American Optometric Association, said that people selling circle lenses online “are encouraging the avoidance of professional care.”
He warned that ill-fitting contact lenses could deprive the eye of oxygen and cause serious vision problems. Joyce Kim, a founder of Soompi.com, an Asian pop fan site with a forum devoted to circle lenses, insists that some friends her age wear circle lenses almost every day.
“It’s like wearing mascara or eyeliner,” she said. “In the past year, there’s been a sharp increase in interest in the U.S.”

Singer Lady Gaga has become the first living person to have 10 million fans on social networking site Facebook. The 24-year-old pop star had 10,673,476 friends on the site, as of July 5, and is the first living person to reach that milestone.

The Telephone singer recently overtook US President Barack Obama to get to first place. However, she is only in sixth place overall, as Texas Hold'em Poker, Michael Jackson, Facebook, Family Guy and Mafia Wars are all above her.

According to the BBC, Daniel Dearlove from Famecount, who researched the new information, said: "Lady Gaga has seen her fan base across Facebook more than double this year and is currently the fastest-growing star.
"Achieving 10 million fans is a remarkable testament both to her stardom and to Facebook's extraordinary reach."

Sandra Bullock has been voted "Favorite American" in an online poll hosted by AOL's entertainment and celebrity gossip website PopEater and syndicated TV news show The Insider.

The freshly divorced Bullock topped other celebrities Angelina Jolie, Oprah, Kristen Stewart and Lady Gaga.
Of the over 163,000 votes submitted, the website reveals the star of "The Blind Side" was a runaway winner as 63% of voters that clicked through the unscientific online poll chose Sandra Bullock.

The poll also tallied the losers.  The report reveals Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt easily took that crown, garnering 37 percent of over 83,000 votes.
The report reveals the reality TV "soon-to-be-exes triumphed over the philandering Tiger Woods, who had 33 percent and Jon Gosselin, the troubled father of 8, who placed third with 15 percent."

Lady Gaga has nearly 10 million Facebook friends, according to British website Famecount.  USA Today reveals the wild singer may overtake US President Barack Obama for the most popular living person on the social networking website.

Despite her popularity, or perhaps because of it, friends of pop star Gaga are said to be concerned by her recent public behaviour and “fear that she’s heading for a meltdown” following her split from her boyfriend and creative director, Matthew Williams, according to reports.

“Gaga is losing the plot,” Closer quotes a friend of the Paparazzi singer saying. “She’s drinking most days, plus attention seeking even more than usual. Everyone’s fearing a full-scale meltdown.”
Friends claim that Williams asked Gaga to marry him, however: “She was devastated, but says that because she has to cope with the likelihood of dying young, she has to follow her dreams.”

The 24-year-old recently tested “borderline positive” for the autoimmune disease lupus. “They’re still friends because they work together,” the source is quoted as saying. “It’s a very tough time for both of them.”

Lady Gaga taking a face first tumble and the "Paparazzi" singer got the flashbulb treatment from the snappers as they catch the singer going down face first in a hideous outfit.  Katy Perry hasn't fared much better as the "I Kissed a Girl" songstress required medical attention after a recent show.

Two - California Gurls star Katy Perry had to have 17 stitches for a mystery injury. The 25-year-old pop performer picked up an injury while dancing at a local club in Canada following a performance at the MuchMusic Awards.
She wrote on Twitter: "17 stitches later... Don't make fun of my dance moves tomorrow. That's what got me here in the 1st place! Thanks for the souvenir Canada :)!"
It is not yet known what she did to injure herself or what she has hurt as, according to the NY Post, her rep didn't respond to a request for a comment when they went to press.
