Kristin Chenoweth (pictured) was a guest judge on American idol and the pint-sized sexy blonde seem to make nice with fellow idol judge Kara DioGuardi very quickly while annoying British bad boy judge Simon Cowell.

Chenoweth said she found the process to be more difficult than she expected when served as a guest judge for American Idol's ninth season auditions in Orlando which aired on Fox.
E Canada Now has an eye on American reality TV and the website reports, "Between multiple high fives with Kara DioGuardi and the extreme she took her high note to during the break, one this was for sure, Simon Cowell was not happy."
At one point Kristen took notice and said: "I think we are too loud for Simon."

More Idol in Orlando...An American Idol hopeful tore his trousers doing the splits – but still got a thumbs-up from Simon Cowell and the judges. Contestant Cornelius Edwards tried to impress the judges in Orlando, Florida, with fancy dance moves he learned from his stripper pals.
But the security guard almost ended up showing too much of himself when his baggy jeans ripped straight up to the crotch as he went into the splits from a jump.
Sheepish Cornelius told the judges: “My pants done rip.” Hard-to-please Cowell was impressed though and told him: “I’ve got to tell you, that’s sacrifice.”

Meet Will Schuester's new rival.

Broadway star Idina Menzel is in negotiations to join the Fox series "Glee" as a recurring character.

Menzel, who is expected to appear in all of the remaining nine episodes of the season, will play the coach of glee club Vocal Adrenaline, the McKinley High glee club's main competition.

Menzel had said she is a big fan of "Glee" and its young star Lea Michele, also a Broadway pro.

Because of Menzel and Michele's similar musical theater background and strong resemblance, fans had been lobbying for Menzel to appear on the show as the biological mother of Michele's character, Rachel Berry.

Menzel won a Tony for her role on "Wicked." Her co-star on the show, Kristin Chenoweth, guest-starred on "Glee" earlier this season.

Menzel is the second Broadway name to land a recurring role on "Glee" this spring.

Jonathan Groff, who co-starred opposite Michele in the Broadway production of "Spring Awakening," will be doing a five- to six-episode story arc, playing the lead male vocalist of Vocal Adrenaline and a potential love interest for Rachel Berry.

"Glee" chronicles the road to the national championships for McKinley High's glee club, a group of misfits led by Spanish teacher Schuester (Matthew Morrison). Schuester's biggest nemesis so far has been the coach of the school's cheerleading squad, Sue Sylvester, played by Jane Lynch.

The show wraps its fall run Wednesday with the "Sectionals" episode.

Since winning "American Idol" in 2005, country singer Carrie Underwood has become one of the show's highest selling graduates, but she warned the latest crop of "Idol" finalists to "stay true" to their fans if they want to find similar success.

Underwood, who on Monday spoke to reporters during a conference call, will star next month in a holiday special, and she just released her second consecutive chart-topping album, "Play On."

As it happens, three finalists from this past season of top-rated U.S. television show "American Idol," a reality singing competition, are about to release their own albums.

"I feel like any contestant that comes off 'Idol' that does well on 'Idol' has to stay true to what people voted for," Underwood said, in response to a question.

"I've seen it happen a few times where people are one thing on the show, and then they got off the show and try to do something else," she said.

Underwood, 26, said that she finds it "really strange" when "Idol" contestants change their musical style after leaving the show, because through their votes viewers tell contestants "what they want."

On Tuesday, "Idol" champion Kris Allen will release his first album since winning the title in May. Allen told Reuters this month that his self-titled disc will include elements from different musical styles, from pop to the blues.

Also, "Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert's album "For Your Entertainment" will hit stores on November 23, and fourth-place finisher Allison Iraheta will release her album "Just Like You" on December 1.

Underwood said she was a fan of Kris Allen's this year, and also third-place finisher Danny Gokey, whose country-style debut album is expected early next year.

Meanwhile, the four-time Grammy winner will star on December 7 in a two-hour variety program called "Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special," on Fox, which is also the network behind "American Idol."

Underwood will be joined on-stage by country icon Dolly Parton, Grammy winner Brad Paisley, 2008 "Idol" winner David Cook and by singer and actress Kristin Chenoweth.

Underwood said that when she performed alongside Parton recently, it was a "dream come true."

"When Dolly's there, you just sort of step out of the spotlight and let her do her thing, because no matter how hard you try she's going to steal the spotlight, and it's great," Underwood said.

Former "Idol" contestant Jennifer Hudson, who won a Grammy this year for her debut album, will also star in a holiday special this season. Her program, "Home for the Holidays," will air on December 14 on ABC.
