Kirstie Alley says getting fat was "the greatest thing in the world".

The 59-year-old actress - whose weight has fluctuated over the years - recently piled on the pounds again and while she didn't like the results, she had lots of fun doing it.

She said: "It was the greatest thing in the world getting fat. Every meal out was an event. We'd go to Italy and have pasta, truffles and dessert and then plan the next incredible meal. It was a happy-go-lucky time. I never had so much fun."

However, when Kirstie - who proudly displayed her 75lbs weight-loss in 2006 by wearing a bikini on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' - tipped the scales at 230lbs, she felt "disgusted".

Hollywood actress Kirstie Alley (pictured) has denied that her new weight-loss program is connected to Scientology. The 59-year-old recently appeared on the Today show on NBC Television, where she was asked if the new program is connected to the religion.

The "Fat Actress" star has been involved with Scientology for the past 30 years.
She said: "That I would need to clarify or defend the intentions or affiliations of my LLC business corporation in the year 2010 is indicative of the intolerance that we as a country still need to overcome."

"However, after the Today show brought fringe bigotry and intolerance into the forefront of the national media, I feel compelled to clarify [myself]."
She added: "Organic Liaison LLC is not affiliated with the Church of Scientology or the world institute of Scientology."

Kirstie Alley doesn't miss sex now she's single.

The 'Look Who's Talking' actress - who is twice divorced - can live without the physical aspect of relationships because she has to be in love with someone to want to sleep with them.

Speaking to US TV talk show host Larry King last night (18.03.10), she said: "I don't miss sexuality. If I was in love with someone, you know, I'd want to bang their brains out! I miss being in love. I miss missing someone and being in love with someone and waiting for them to call."

Although Kirstie's sex life is not very active at the moment, she wouldn't turn down a romantic advance from Hollywood star Jamie Foxx.

Big Laughs In Kirstie Alley New Reality Show

Amid the tabloid photos, the Jenny Craig ads and her self-chastising Oprah visits, one thing has been easy to overlook about Kirstie Alley: She's pretty darned funny.

Alley's new A&E reality series, which focuses on her obsession with losing weight, gives her an ideal platform every week to remind us of that fact. For instance, in describing her round-the-home handyman Jim, who is destined to become her "chubby buddy," she says, "I just wanted someone fatter than me around the house -- Jim fit the bill."

"Kirstie Ally: Big Life," premiering on Sunday, isn't your typical reality series. There's no competition or goal (though Alley would like to drop about 90 pounds) and no closed-door confessionals. Alley serves as participant and narrator, guiding viewers through her life (complete with bright, apparently sane grown children) and home (complete with garden and lemur cage). Passing through to help her make it through the day is a small army of hired help including a diligent assistant (whose hair Alley finds appalling), a flaky assistant-in-training who likes to nap, a lemur-fearing stylist and a maid, all of whom serve as a Greek chorus to her daily indignities.

There's a fine line Alley is trying to walk here, and for the most part she does a great job balancing light moments with the thousand tiny tragedies that come from feeling too fat to leave the house. One moment she's insisting that losing 90 pounds, when expressed as 6.4 English "stone," doesn't really seem all that much, and the next she's abandoning New Year's plans because she's too big for the dresses her stylist brought over. Her dinner with Jim that night has them both commiserating over the joyless task ahead: pairing up to lose weight.

So the task, and her show, begins. Sympathetic, profane, brassy and real in an eccentric way, Alley's journey will be a challenge for her, and to watch. But her apparent fearlessness to expose all before the cameras makes this more than a reality show and better than just a "how-to" program. She's inspiring, if for no other reason than that between chuckles you'll want to put down your cake.

Kirstie Alley and Joy Behar are at war on Twitter over the Tiger Woods cheating accusations on his beautiful blonde wife Elin Nordegren.  The former "Cheers" star Alley says she watched Behar's show (at least someone is watching it) and was a bit furious over some comments made by the host.

According to a report from ABC News, "Alley was so perturbed by talk-show host Joy Behar's comments on "The Joy Behar Show" about Tiger Woods' purported multiple affairs that she tweeted" her distaste for Behar's comments.

After a Behar rant, Alley tweeted, "WHY has Joy Behar turned into such a self righteous cooz head? OOOOooo that's right ... FOREVER!!! CHEATING is between a husband and wife. Not TMZ and Joy Bewhore ... God, I want to bash her in the vagina with her microphone."
Behar tweeted in response, "Kirstie Alley calls me Joy Bewhore. Compliments! Compliments!"

Behar later added it is a one-sided war, according to AOL's Pop Eater.
Kirstie responded on Twitter, "Get your FACTS straight. Ms.Behar left out the part where her show was trashing me.I don't SHOOT first & I don't FEIGN innocence," Alley responded to the story.

Actress Kirstie Alley is set to make her TV comeback on her own reality show, according to reports.  The former Cheers star, who has famously battled with her weight for years, is to star in a new show that chronicles her struggle to lose weight as she juggles life as a single mother to two teens in Hollywood.

An insider confirmed: "The show will feature Kirstie and her family members."  In 2005, after her weight increased to over 200lbs, Alley, 58, starred in a "mockumentary"-style comedy series, Fat Actress, for US TV network Showtime, about the fictitious daily life of an overweight actress trying to make it in Hollywood.

The award-winning comedy star was previously a spokesperson for US weight-loss guru Jenny Craig after she successfully lost 75lbs (33kg) in 2004, but she parted ways with Craig in December 2007, after putting the weight back on.
Filming for the untitled series is slated to begin this month and will air on A&E next year.

U.S. actress Kirstie Alley helped raise $28,000 through Aquathon, a 24-hour Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Ustream telethon for clean water in Africa.

Alley and charity organizer Steve Woods presided last weekend over the event, which organizers touted as the world's first 24-hour social media driven telethon.

The fundraiser was planned in support of PlayPumps International, a non-profit group that provides clean drinking water to children and communities in sub-Saharan African communities

Aquathon 2009 donations will go towards the purchase of two PlayPumps structures, which cost $14,000 each. Aquathon donations will continue to be accepted at http://aquathon2009.blogspot.com/ for the next several weeks, organizers said.

"I couldn't be happier that my cool peeps donated over $28,000 to benefit PlayPumps," Alley said in a statement Wednesday. "Because of them, thousands of lives will be saved and the quality of their lives will skyrocket. African children are smiling at us today. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!"

She underwent a massive overhaul when she lost 75 pounds as a spokesperson for the Jenny Craig weight loss system, but now Kirstie Alley is befuddled at her relapse into her old habits.

The former “Cheers” actress told press, “I just said, ‘I’m going to cut myself some slack.’ Big mistake!” She continued, “I though, ‘You know what I need? You know what I haven’t had a lot of? I haven’t had a lot of dinner parties and company.’”

Alley also confessed that she turned her home gym into a dining room, contributing to the problem. But she’s not content to let her form stay flabby.

Kirstie vowed, "I'm going to lose 80 pounds ... I'm going to be in a bikini again. We look around. We see what we want. Don't you look around and see what you want to look like? I'm, like, 'Look, Michelle Obama's guns. I could have those arms.’ I don't know about the legs."
