Katie Holmes is reportedly undergoing Scientology 'auditing' in preparation to have another baby.

The 'Thank You For Smoking' actress - who has three-year-old daughter Suri with husband Tom Cruise - is said to have spent four hours at the Hollywood Scientology Center last week, sparking rumours she is getting ready to expand her family.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "This is exactly what happened just before she got pregnant with Suri. Tom has made no secret of the fact that he would like another baby."

According to a website run by the Church of Scientology, followers believe the "health and the sanity of the child begin long before birth".

Scientology auditing is used to restore self confidence, happiness and spiritual freedom and involves answering questions or following directions with the aim of being freed from unwanted barriers that inhibit natural ability.

This is not the first time Katie has undergone special treatment at a Scientology centre.

Last year, she reportedly underwent a 'Scientology Sparkle' makeover.

A source said at the time: "The makeover was Tom and Church of Scientology leader David Miscavige's idea.

"After Katie followed the Purification Rundown - an extreme detox where she had high doses of vitamins and spent five hours a day in a sauna - doctors and homeopaths were called in to maintain her looks and ensure her skin would not break out, a process dubbed the 'Scientology Sparkle'."

Scarlett Johansson Broadway Debut Raves!

Sporting a thick Brooklyn accent, actress Scarlett Johansson won accolades in reviews posted on Monday for her Broadway debut in playwright Arthur Miller's "A View from the Bridge."

Starring in a revival of Miller's mid-1950s play alongside actor Liev Schreiber, the New York-born actress who already is a marquee name in movies has dazzled Broadway critics after the play opened on Sunday.

Johansson, 25, made "an enchanting Broadway debut" in the role of Catherine, the 17-year-old niece of an Italian-American longshoreman, wrote USA Today, in "what could be this season's most inspired piece of movie-star casting."

"Johansson's performance is a revelation," the review concluded.

After Sunday's opening night performance Johansson told Reuters television on the red carpet that it was "a new thing" to appear on stage and have people "bear witness to what essentially feels like you're baring your soul. It's a little bit of a scary thing."

Showbiz newspaper Variety called Johansson's performance "remarkably assured" in toeing the line between her character's girlish sensuality and emerging independence with "touching dignity."

Johansson performed the role with "seeming effortlessness," said The New York Times, and compared favorably to stage performances by other film stars in recent years including Julia Roberts and Katie Holmes, who made her debut in another of Miller's plays, "All My Sons."

"By comparison, Ms. Johansson melts into her character so thoroughly that her nimbus of celebrity disappears," said the Times.

The New York Post, noting the role was a smart choice for her big stage debut, said it was "just wonderful to watch Johansson challenge both herself and our expectations of her."

Only a few reviewers said there was room for improvement, with The Hollywood Reporter saying she could do more with voice projection and stage presence, common problems for film actors crossing onto the stage.

Johansson debuted on the big screen as a child actress in the 1994 film "North" and later appeared in "The Horse Whisperer." She won acclaim for more recent film roles in "Lost in Translation," "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" and "The Other Boleyn Girl."

Johansson also has performed as a vocalist on music albums, including last year's "Break Up" with U.S. singer-songwriter Pete Yorn.

"Bridge" A Bold Broadway Bow For Scarlett Johansson

Who would have thought that the plays of Arthur Miller would provide a safe haven for young Hollywood actresses making their first forays onto a Broadway stage?

Last season it was Katie Holmes, receiving generally kind notices for her supporting turn in "All My Sons." The latest example is Scarlett Johansson, as a young niece who inspires the semi-incestuous passions of her longshoreman uncle with tragic results in "A View from the Bridge."

It turns out to have been a smart move: Making her Great White Way debut, Johansson acquits herself admirably in the role (which, by the way, the late Brittany Murphy played during the previous Broadway revival). But she's got a real insurance policy in the form of co-star Liev Schreiber, delivering a volcanic performance as the doomed Eddie Carbone, upon whom the play truly hinges. The play is running through April 4 at the Cort Theater.

Miller's 1955 work, with its overdone Greek-tragedy overtones, never has managed to be fully convincing. But it remains a gripping theatrical experience despite its flaws, and director Gregory Mosher's straightforward, beautifully acted production does it reasonable justice.

The ominous tone is established immediately by the sight of John Lee Beatty's imposing set depicting the looming, rundown buildings of a Brooklyn waterfront neighborhood. The proceedings are narrated in portentous fashion by Alfieri (Michael Cristofer), the lawyer who serves as a sort of de facto Greek chorus who lets us know immediately that things will not turn out well.

The plot centers on Eddie's extreme protectiveness toward 17-year-old Catherine (Johansson), the daughter of his wife Beatrice's (Jessica Hecht) late sister who they have raised since childhood. When the family decides to temporarily shelter Marco (Corey Stoll) and Rodolpho (Morgan Spector) -- Beatrice's relatives from Italy who have arrived as illegal immigrants to seek work -- the burgeoning relationship between Catherine and the rakishly charming Rodolpho sends Eddie over the edge. At first his jealousy manifests itself in small ways: taunting his young rival into a violent boxing lesson and making fun of his propensity for bursting into song. But when the young lovers' relationship turns serious, he resorts to a shocking act of betrayal that has fateful results.

Schreiber, who in recent years has established himself as perhaps the theater's leading dramatic actor, is simply riveting as Eddie. Early on, he invests the role with subtle shades of humor that help leaven the melodramatic proceedings. But as Eddie becomes more consumed by his demons, Schreiber gradually ratchets up the intensity with shattering results.

Hecht, as the sexually neglected wife who can't bear to admit the truth of what's happening, is equally powerful in a role not too far removed, at least in milieu, from her superb recent turn in Neil Simon's "Brighton Beach Memoirs." Stoll and Spector are moving as the new arrivals who set the tragic events in motion, with the latter charmingly conveying Rodolpho's innocent exuberance.

Johansson, sporting a convincing Brooklyn accent, is touching as the young girl blossoming into womanhood. Although like most stage tyros she needs to do more work in terms of projection and stage presence, she more than holds her own opposite her dynamic co-star, which is saying something indeed.

David Beckham has recounted a game played by Tom Cruise in which he was required to sing. The football star told George Lopez that Cruise at a restaurant one night said: "OK, let's play a music game. Let's start a singing game." Beckham, who regards singing as his "worst nightmare", was not thrilled.

So he went about getting out of the game, going so far as to text a friend at a nearby table to help him out. He did reserve praise for Cruise, who took Becks and his wife Victoria under his wing when they landed in Hollywood. He said the actor is "one of the most handsome men I've ever met".

More Cruise News...This week little Suri Cruise had a fun out day while her dad Tom Cruise filmed scenes for his latest movie. For Suri got to spend the day Guillena Mundo Park Zoo with mum and actress Katie Holmes to hand after the zoo closed down to the public and opened up just for the famous toddler.
Holmes took Suri, 3, to the zoo just outside Seville in Spain, where Tom is filming scenes for Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz. Mum and daughter spent some quality time together as they enjoyed watching Andalusian horses dancing, and got hands-on with the fuzzy residents - Suri especially liked the ponies and small animals.
Zoo director Carlos Llandrés revealed: "She loved stroking a newborn tiger cub, twin baby jaguar cubs and a baby donkey, so small it looks like a ball of fluff." Cruise and Holmes, who have been seen out and about at tapas bars, flamenco parties and soccer games, a love introduced to them by pals David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, are expected to stay in Seville for one more week before returning home to the US for the holidays.

Maggie Gyllenhaal felt "important" when she was "swarmed" by photographers - before realising they were looking for Tom Cruise.

The 'Dark Knight' star and husband Peter Sarsgaard are usually able to walk around New York unnoticed so were amazed when "tons" of paparazzi came into a cafe where they were enjoying coffee, only to then be ignored.

She told website E! Online: "There were a ton of paparazzi in the cafe with their huge cameras and laptops. I was like, 'Peter, oh my God, they are so into us. They're swarming us. We are so important.'

"It turns out Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise were living on that street. It was the winter, so the photographers would go into the cafe to download their pictures."

Maggie is currently promoting 'Crazy Heart', the first movie she worked on after giving birth to daughter Ramona three years ago, and admits she finds it difficult to balance parenthood with her career.

She said: "Every night you can't put your kid to sleep, that's pretty intense. In my family, that's a big kind of get-together time - dinner, bath and stories and then bed."

Katie Holmes reportedly infuriated cinemagoers by talking through a screening of 'Twilight Saga: New Moon'.

The former 'Dawson's Creek' star and her friends went to a movie theatre in New York to watch 'Twilight Saga: New Moon' but ruined the experience for the rest of the audience because of their constant chatter.

A source told FOX News: "Katie talked through all of 'New Moon'. It was unbelievable - they talked non-stop about the movie and everything else. Some people wanted to tell them to be quiet, but when they realised who it was, they stayed silent. No one wanted to shush Katie."

It is not the first time excessive noise has been a problem for a member of Katie's family.

In September, her three-year-old daughter Suri burst into tears at a Beyonce Knowles concert in Australia when the singer took to the stage to perform her hit 'Crazy In Love'.

Suri started crying, hiding her face in Katie's coat to escape the bright lights and noise.

As soon as the track was over, Katie and Suri hurried out of the stadium, returning 15 minutes later with a pair of industrial ear-muffs for the toddler.

A source said: "We were all a bit shocked when they left after the first song, but they were back before long, with Suri wearing a huge pair of earmuffs.

Tom Cruise wants Katie Holmes to play a villain in the next 'Mission: Impossible' movie.

The actor - who stars as spy Ethan Hunt in the action franchise - is desperate to work with his wife and believes an evil part for her in the fourth film would be perfect because he doesn't want them to play a couple on screen.

A source said: "Tom is very excited about taking 'Mission: Impossible' in a new direction and he sees Katie as a big part of that.

"They have wanted to work together for a while now but the idea of being a couple on screen in a romantic comedy is a bit dull. This might give them a chance to have some fun both as a couple and as hero and villainess."
