Jim Carrey has a crush on Jennifer Aniston, and is desperate to take her out for a date. The two stars worked together on 2003 comedy movie Bruce Almighty and got on famously. At the time they were both in relationships – Jennifer was married to Brad Pitt while Jim was dating model Betina Holte.

The actor is currently single following his split from his long-term partner Jenny McCarthy. He is said to be keen to re-acquaint himself with Jennifer, and has asked mutual friends for her number.
“Jim and Jen hit it off and had a lot of fun when they made that movie, but they didn’t really stay in contact... until now,” a source told National Enquirer magazine. “He has been calling her and texting her a bit in the hopes she’ll go out with him.”
Jennifer is apparently more interested in staying friends with Jim, especially as she is pals with Jenny. She does not want to upset the star by dating her ex-partner, but enjoys spending time with Jim platonically.
“She’s close with Jenny and feels it wouldn’t be right,” the source explained. “She is ready for a fresh start.”
Jennifer is believed to be dating actor Christopher Gartin.

Celebrity splits - Actress Emma Caulfield has filed for divorce from her husband Cornelius Grobbelaar.  According to a report from the Arizona Republic, the former "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" actress cites irreconcilable differences for the split from her husband in documents filed last in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The 37-year-old star, who recently split with Jim Carrey, was seen on a dinner date in Los Angeles with a mystery man. McCarthy enjoyed dinner at LA restaurant Katsuya Hollywood with the man as well as her sister and a group of pals.
She said on Twitter: "Omg. I ran into mystery man at katsuya last night. What a coincidence! I made out with him again. Now I really REALLY want 2 know his name."

Jenny McCarthy has been seen getting "very cosy" with a mystery man.

The former Playboy model - who split from Jim Carrey, her partner of five years, last month - was spotted yesterday (06.05.10) looking very close to a new guy while on holiday in Las Vegas with her sisters and friends.

Jenny, 37, had been enjoying dinner with her pals at the N9NE Steakhouse, before they headed to the Playboy Club where the blonde beauty hooked up with the hunk.

A source said: "After dinner, Jenny headed to the Playboy Club for some martinis and was seen getting very cosy kissing an unknown guy."

Sexy star Jenny McCarthy (pictured) once accused Steven Seagal of asking her to strip in an audition, it has been revealed. McCarthy, Jim Carrey’s ex and a former Playboy Playmate, claimed the martial artist and actor told her to take her clothes off during an audition for Under Siege 2.

McCarthy's alleged encounter comes on the heels of a sexual harassment suit filed against Seagal. His former executive assistant, Kayden Nguyen, claims she was sexually assaulted by the action star and that he participated in human trafficking.

McCarthy gave an interview to Movieline magazine in 1998, saying Seagal asked her to strip at the casting call for his 1995 film Under Siege 2, and threatened her not to tell anyone.
McCarthy said Seagal asked her if she was Playmate of the Year and then told her to take off her dress. McCarthy said: "I just started crying and said, 'Rent my Playboy video, you a*****e!' and ran out to the car."
The actress's publicist said today that she did make the statements at the time and did not wish to comment further.

Actors Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy ended their five-year relationship by announcing the split on their Twitter pages on Tuesday.

The announcement surprised Hollywood insiders as the low-profile couple appeared to have a durable union, and Carrey passionately advocated a link between vaccines and autism, a neurological disease suffered by McCarthy's 7-year-old son.

On Valentine's Day, Carrey, 48, hired a plane to sky-write "J (heart) J" above the home they shared in the upscale Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood.

"Jenny my Love, you've stolen my heart, my soul and of course anything you find in my pants," he cooed in a follow-up Twitter message.

But both were singing a different tune on Tuesday.

"Jenny and I have just ended our (five-year) relationship," Carrey wrote. "I'm grateful (for) the many blessings we've shared and I wish her the very best!"

McCarthy, 37, was equally amicable, writing that she was grateful for their time together, and would "always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart."

In the early days of their relationship, Carrey wooed McCarthy by taking her on a helicopter ride and to concerts by Radiohead and Fiona Apple, according to a People magazine report in 2006.

In recent years, Carrey and McCarthy entered the emotional debate about the causes of autism, strenuously defending medical researchers who believed the disease was caused by vaccines.

McCarthy's son Evan was diagnosed with the disease in 2005, a disclosure that strained her first marriage to actor/director John Asher.

Carrey, who has a daughter from the first of his two marriages, recently became a grandfather for the first time. His most recent on-screen appearance was in the 2008 comedy "Yes Man," which earned $223 million worldwide. McCarthy, a former Playboy Playmate, is writing a book about relationships.

Hollywood actor Jim Carrey is the grandfather of a new baby boy.  Carrey's 22-year-old daughter Jane gave birth Friday to a son, Jackson Riley Santana.  Jane and Alex got married in November, with Jim walking his daughter down the aisle, reports the Ministry of Gossip at the LA Times.

Is marriage next for gramps?  Jenny McCarthy says she might marry her long-term partner and new grandpa Jim for 'tax purposes'. McCarthy, 37, has been with Carey, 48, for five years and has previously said that they wouldn't marry.

However, the star has now told Us Weekly Magazine that they may marry one day. "We say 'never' but I don't know. Maybe for tax purposes, someday, when we are old."
She added: "That's what we keep joking - like, when we are 70! But for now, we're fine. We are really fine!"
McCarthy, who has a seven-year-old son Evan, is preparing to be a grandma as Carrey's daughter Jane is due to give birth soon. She said: "I love it! I love, love, love it. I think I'm going to be the awesome grandma, the world's best, is what I say."

Jenny McCarthy might marry Jim Carrey for "tax purposes".

The former Playboy model - who has been dating the 48-year-old comic actor for five years - has apparently changed her mind about refusing to wed and has admitted she is tempted to tie the knot to save money.

She said: "We say 'never,' but I don't know. Maybe for tax purposes, someday, when we are old."

Even if the ceremony does go ahead, the 37-year-old actress can't see it happening for at least 30 more years because they're very settled in their relationship.

She explained: "That's what we keep joking - like, when we are 70! But for now, we're fine. We are really fine!"

For now, the blonde beauty is happy being a mother to her seven-year-old son Evan - from a previous relationship - and can't wait to be an "awesome grandma" when Jim's daughter Jane gives birth in the next few weeks.

Jim Carrey hired a skywriter to declare his love for Jenny McCarthy.

The former Playboy model was delighted when the 'Yes Man' star made the public Valentine's Day (14.02.10) gesture and urged all her friends and neighbours to see what he had done for her.

She tweeted: "Just had sky writer come over our house and write J (heart) J in the sky. So fun. Anybody in LA go look at the sky."

The 37-year-old star had earlier used her twitter page to give her own public declaration of love to Jim.

She wrote: "Happy valentines day!! To all those who don't have one I'm sending a love burst. And to my man, ... You are my light, my love, my forever (sic)/"

Jim recently claimed that "every day is Valentine's Day" because he is so happy in his four-year relationship with Jenny.

Jim - who is twice divorced - said: "Jenny is the first person that I've been with where I don't have a giant question mark over my head. Every day is Valentine's Day, baby."

Jim, 48, believes honesty and good communication are the key factors in their happy union.

The former Playboy model - who is currently in a relationship with actor Jim Carrey - believes Christ would be a good guy to date if he wasn't "dead".

Writing on twitter, Jenny said: "I'm looking at a picture of Jesus on the wall. I would have totally dated Jesus. Love that beard. Too bad he's dead."

When some followers on the micro-blogging website took offence to the suggestion that Jesus was not alive, she added: "OK, OK my friends. I know Jesus is not dead.

"I'm saying that the fact his body has 'risen from the dead' makes him un-datable."

Dating Jesus obviously stayed on Jenny's mind for some time, as she later tweeted: "Did they do circumcisions in Jesus days? (sic)"

It is not the first time that Jenny has made unusual postings on twitter.

She recently offered to perform a sex act on TV host Conan O'Brien following his final episode of 'The Tonight Show' on January 22.

Jim Carrey has blasted Tom Cruise and Angelina Jolie.

The 'Christmas Carol' star appeared on US chat show 'Chelsea Lately' stating he wanted to cut some celebrities down to size, branding them "spoiled brats".

When host Chelsea Handler suggested he start with Tom Cruise, Jim replied: "Oh, set before me a meal - oh my God! A Christmas feast!"

He sarcastically added: "Tom Cruise - let me see - one of the hardest working people I've ever seen and, like, a total gentleman and *******. What a jerk!"

He was much keener on Chelsea's next suggestion, Brad Pitt, however.

Jim, 47, jokingly said: "Well you really can't say anything about Brad Pitt. Angelina Jolie? Oh yeah, so she's the problem for sure, we're ok with him, seriously, because he can do no wrong."

Jim also said that despite appearing in 'A Christmas Carol' as central character Scrooge and the ghosts of Christmas past , present and future, he doesn't have any paranormal connections himself.

Referring to his partner, model Jenny McCarthy, he added: "I don't really have that connection. Jenny is very much more connected to the ghostly realm. She sees things every once in a while, she'll yell, 'There's a naked wrinkled man in the bedroom, I think he might be dead and looking for the other side'."
