Isla Fisher, who is currently working on Burke And Hare with the likes of Simon Pegg and Andy Serkis, is attached to star in high concept comedy Kiss & Tell.

Universal is backing the film, which will follow a woman who finds out she has the power to see into the future of any relationship with a man after just one kiss.

The pitch came from writers Dax Shelby and Robert Stevens, who have a torrent of one-line idea spec scripts in various stages of development all over Hollywood, including Man Camp at Sony and Two Minutes To Midnight at Fox.

While Variety’s report doesn’t mention a star, Production weekly broke the news of Fisher’s involvement. But the trade mag does mention on name beyond the writers – Up In The Air scribe Sheldon Turner, who Universal has brought on board to oversee the thing. And given his Oscar-nominated success with Air, chances are he’ll do a little polishing of the script to boot.

Isla Fisher May Star In Desperados

Ladies! Did you enjoy the raunchy, no-holds-barred, what-will-they-do-next comedy stylings of The Hangover? But, as you were watching Mike Tyson punch out that dude with the beard, were you secretly thinking, ‘Gosh, this is really funny, but what I’d really like to see is a female-oriented version of this envelope-pushing fun, potentially starring Isla Fisher’? If so, then your dreams have come true!

For, showing that virtually any comedy idea can get the green light these days if the pitch contains the words, “It’s kinda like The Hangover”, Universal has indeed picked up a spec script called Desperados, with the delightful Fisher circling to star.

If she signs on the line that is dotted, the impossibly cute former Home & Away star will play a girl who sends an angry email to her ex when he drops off the radar after having sex. When she then discovers that he’s in a coma in a Mexican hospital, for some reason that’s not clear at this point, she races to Mexico with some of her friends… not to be at his bedside, but to intercept and delete the email before he wakes up.

Riiiiiiiiiight. We know what you’re thinking, because we’re thinking it too: ‘wow, that’s one unsympathetic lead character’. Which might be why producers Mark Gordon and Jason Blum have plumped for Fisher, who’s so pixie-like and gorram likeable that she could play Nick Griffin and make him seem like a Disney character.

The project has also been pitched as – yes! – a female-oriented Hangover, with Fisher in the Bradley Cooper role, and her three friends presumably filling the same archetypes – insular nerd, outrageous eccentric – as Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis in Todd Phillips’ hit. And, if it turns out to be as funny as The Hangover, then all will be forgiven.

No director is yet attached, but it should be only a matter of time.

Isla Fisher Gets Two New Rom-Coms

Isla Fisher, last seen wearing a ridiculous array of fabulous fashion in Confessions of a Shopaholic, is in line for two new films at Universal: Life Coach and Someday My Princes Will Come. And it sounds like both are right up her light-comedy alley.

Life Coach is a comedy that will see Fisher play a young woman who decides to consult a, well, life coach (for those of you who don't watch Oprah, this is a quasi-therapist who advises you on how to improve all spheres of your life that need work). The only problem is that this particular coach is even more messed up than she is. Hilarity, we're guessing, ensues. Former Saturday Night Live writer Liz Cackowski and Maggie Carey will write that one.

Someday My Princes Will Come is based on an as-yet unproduced French script called Un jour mes princes viendront. Yes, they're now remaking French movies that haven't technically been made. There's no word on the plot of this one yet, except that it's a rom-com, but we're going to wildly speculate, based on title and genre, that a girl waits ages for the perfect man and then two / three come along at once. Because men are basically like buses: large, red and a bit smelly.

Audrey Wells, who wrote and directed Under The Tuscan Sun, will be writing that one. In the meantime, Fisher fans can at least hear her dulcet tones in Gore Verbinski's upcoming Rango, the story of a household pet who goes on an adventure to find himself.

Always on his A-game, Sacha Baron Cohen took to the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of his latest film, “Bruno,” last night (June 25).

Seeming to have not broken character once since his promotional duties began, Mr Cohen showed up as Bruno with an army of sexy ladies.

Also joining the fun was his lovely girlfriend/baby mama, Isla Fisher, who looked amazing in a green dress paired with gold shoes.

On a side note, after the news of Michael Jackson’s death broke yesterday, his fans caused a stir as they frantically tried to get to his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, but couldn’t reach it because the “Bruno” red carpet was covering it.

The “Confessions of a Shopaholic” hottie looked comfy and casual in a blue Mickey Mouse sweatshirt with a blue scarf, distressed jeans and white sneakers.

In related news, Isla recently revealed that she loves to do DIY home improvements, but most of the time she is stunted by her short stature.

Ms. Fisher told press, “I try to do DIY, but because of my height sometimes it’s difficult. There’s nothing like trying to put up a picture when you’re my height.”

Isla Fisher will breastfeed her daughter until she goes to university.

The 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' actress has joked she will only stop nursing Olive - her 15-month-old daughter with fiance Sacha Baron Cohen - when she leaves home.

She said: "I am still breastfeeding. I'm only going to stop when Olive goes to university!"

Isla insists she lost most of her post baby weight within four months by breastfeeding and also by working with a personal trainer.

Despite her slim figure, the Australian beauty revealed being a mother has given her a healthy appetite and she loves indulging in sweet treats.

The 33-year-old star laughed: "I'm always hungry. I'll look at the dessert menu - I eat dessert. I'm terrible. I tried my best to lose weight, but breastfeeding helps.

"So to all those men out there, if you want to lose weight, get breastfeeding!"

Isla Fisher insisted on wearing five-inch heels while filming her new movie.

The Australian actress - who plays fashionista Rebecca Bloomwood in 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' - thought strutting around in the towering footwear would help her get into character.

Asked if it was true she asked to wear the skyscraper shoes, Isla laughed: "I did! I thought there's something funny about a shopaholic buying ridiculously high heels and tottering through the comedy, I thought it would be amusing. It was less amusing, actually, when I had to do it every day!"

Isla - who was dressed by legendary stylist Patricia Field for the movie - wears a different outfit in almost every scene of the film, but decided against asking to keep any of the outlandish clothes.

"I don't know how I would have felt in my everyday life in those heels."

Isla Fisher is struggling to master Hebrew.

The 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' actress, who has converted to Judaism for her Jewish fiance Sacha Baron Cohen, hasn't quite got to grips with the new language.

When asked if she was fluent in Hebrew, Isla laughed and said: "That would be pushing it! I know a bit, I know a bit."

Isla, who was raised as a Methodist Christian, has been given the Hebrew name Ayala or 'Doe'.

She said recently: "I converted two years ago. It is always reported that I am still studying, so I am either the slowest studier in the world, or I have, in fact, converted.

"I think if one wanted to be buried next to one's beloved and they were Jewish, then one would have to be Jewish, too."

The 33-year-old Australian beauty agreed to follow Judaism so she can marry Sacha in a traditional ceremony and she insists is pleased with her decision.
