Hugh Hefner wants to take Playboy Magazine private and the NY Times newspaper reveals in a report Hef is working on his legacy and has has admitted he was behind his recent offer to buy the outstanding shares of Playboy and take the company private.

“I simply think the stock is undervalued and, having just celebrated my birthday, I’m looking ahead to the future,” he said. “I want to make sure the legacy of the company is secure."
He added: "You know, it’s much less expensive to be private. I’m just trying to do the right thing for everyone involved. The stock has been beaten up – something a lot of other companies have been experiencing, I might add.”

More Playboy buzz - Hef's former live-in girlfriend Holly Madison has bought her personal assistant a boob job.
The former Playboy Playmate treated her friend Angel Porrino to the cosmetic procedure as a 21st birthday present for the single mother.
Holly - who paid for the bust-boosting gift with money she earned hosting Angel's birthday party at Las Vegas nightspot Tao - said: "I've known Angel since she was 18, and she's always been talking about getting a boob job.
"It's really exciting to be able to buy a friend a present that she's super, super excited about."
Angel - who went up three cup sizes after the operation - is thrilled by the results of her surgery.

Holly Madison in Control as "Holly's World" Readies Debut

Holly Madison likes being in the driver's seat. The bottle-blond beauty, who rose to notoriety as one of Hugh Hefner's girlfriends on the hit "Girls Next Door" show, has her own "Holly's World" E! series premiering Sunday (6/13). And she's happy to say, "I definitely have more control this time, as a co-executive producer, and it's great."

The half-hour show, which was teased with an opening segment back in December, has Madison (pictured) hastening back and forth between her work as star of the Las Vegas Peepshow strip revue and partying, more partying, other activities and partying -- supported by her assistant, Angel; her roommate, Laura; and her male buddy, Josh.
"I was pretty adamant which characters I wanted on the show, which people keep it real with me," she tells us. "I always thought Laura and Angel would be great, and Josh -- he really pops onscreen."
As for what she wanted to do with the show, "Just capture more reality, capture the day to day, and definitely the drama moments. You can't prescript all the time. My main thing is I just want to keep the spontaneity of the show."

Life has "been pretty crazy" all year for the 30-year-old Madison, "juggling everything with doing a show onstage six nights a week."

Asked about how she keeps her 36D-23-36 body in perfect shape, she laughs. "Doing a cardio workout for two hours a night really helps."

There's also the book she's preparing for fall release, a unique travel guide to her adopted hometown. "I absolutely love Las Vegas. It's like a small town with all the energy of a huge big city. My book is really more for people in my demographic -- 18-34 -- with not only Vegas history, but a guide to things to do."

Speaking of things to do, we notice reports that she had her Playboy logo tattoo, that used to ride on her lower back, removed. Was that due to sad memories?

"I had to cover it for everything I do, cover it with really heavy makeup, and I got tired of that," she says.

THE VIDEOLAND VIEW: "Drop Dead Diva" star Brooke Elliott reports that the just-launched second season of her Lifetime series is at least as star-studded as the first season was, or more. Viewers can expect to see Leelee Sobieski, Robin Givens, Jasmine Guy, Rosie O'Donnell back in her judge character, plus Sharon Lawrence and Kurt Fuller as Elliott's parents, plus Cybill Shepherd. "She was a riot and so much fun," says Elliott. "She plays a character that's sort of like Meryl Streep's in 'The Devil Wears Prada.'

"They're all so great. We're so humbled by the fact they want to come play with us," she adds.

Elliott's ability to make her insanely complex role work is crucial -- as viewers of the series, and critics, are well aware. How many actresses could convince us they're a ditzy model who came back from heaven and is inhabiting the body of a zaftig crusading attorney who has left residual personality traits behind? But the Broadway-bred actress remains quite modest-sounding about the impact she's made. The network's website and other "Diva"-related comment areas are full of grateful remarks from fans who love the series' approach to body image. "It's wonderful to hear. When people talk to me about the show, they're so polite and kind," Elliott says.

Playing Deb the model/Jane the attorney "does take a tremendous amount of focus, to be sure," she allows. "There are always questions to figure out about when Jane is influencing Deb's behavior. I'm always making sure everything is seen from Deb's perspective. It's one of the tricky parts of the job and the most fun."

ANSWERING THE CALL: John Morris says he was literally walking between classes on the UCLA Campus, coming out of Macgowan Hall, the theater arts building, when his cell phone rang four years ago, and it was Pixar's Kevin Reher, calling out of the blue. Reher told him his old gang was interested in getting him to re-up as Andy, the boy to whom Woody, Buzz and the rest of the toys belong in the "Toy Story" movies, for "Toy Story 3."

"They had to track me down," recalls Morris, now 25. "It had been eight or nine years since 'Toy Story 2,' so when he said, 'We'd love to have you come in and see where your voice is,' I was amazed and thrilled. I found out that Andy is now 18 and about to go to college, and I felt pretty confident that I could play that, since I was just finishing college myself. When I came in, the directors explained that maintaining continuity as much as possible with the cast was important to them."

Morris started the first "Toy Story" when he was 7, so "this has been going on the majority of my life," he points out. He wound up going in for recording duties in Los Angeles, and later, in New York -- where he moved for two years -- and finally, back in San Francisco, his first and current home town, a quick drive to Pixar headquarters. Having graduated in 2007, he aims to continue doing voice work, as well as theater and who knows what else. He comments, "With a lot of other trilogies, the movies have come out more back to back, every few years. But 'Toy Story' has had this incredibly epic time line, and that's made it even more special in a way because kids have grown up with it in real time."

Starting with John Morris.

HIS WAY: Country heartthrob Blake Shelton recalls, "The first time I ever got onstage, I was 8 years old. I loved it then, but it wasn't really till I was 15 that performing became a really big deal to me, more so than any other kid around me. I started playing in bars and writing songs -- no clue of what I was doing, just doing it." He says that "looking back, the best thing I did was, two weeks after high school graduation, I moved to Nashville."
Oddly enough, though, his first record producer, and the man who gave Shelton his first big break, Bobby Braddock, didn't get with him as a result of his Nashville move. "He heard me sing on the phone the first time. He became interested in my singing just over my work tape."

Holly Madison (pictured) and her relationship with Benji Madden is heating up after his recent boxing fight. Madden, 31, recently stepped out with the former Girls Next Door star and twin brother Joel at the Palms Casino resort in Las Vegas.

They then took a trip to the N9NE Steakhouse before heading to the Playboy Club to see skateboarder Pierre-Luc Gagnon.
Earlier that day, Madison had written on her Twitter: "Whoever's at World's Sexiest Boxer's weigh in better take a pic of him in his underwear for me." Madden later fought and beat radio host Riki Rachtman. Madison was seen with her pals, wearing T-shirts with 'Team Benji' on the front and 'Show Me Your Butt' on the back.

After the fight, Madison wrote: "World's Sexiest Boxer Prevails." The pair then celebrated at the Wasted Space club and, the next day, were seen enjoying brunch. Madison also found a ticket with Benji on and posted it on Twitter, saying: "Found some hotness in the bathroom!"
The couple has been rumored to be dating for months, with some even speculating that they would be moving in together in the near future. However, Madison's rep said: "They are still just friends. Benji happened to be here in town this last weekend so they got to spend more time together than usual."

New mom and former Playboy model Kendra Wilkinson does not approve of Kate Gosselin (pictured) leaving her kids at home to appear on Dancing with the Stars, she tells NBC' Today Show during an interview.

Kate is already facing DWTS "diva" charges, according to an Us Magazine report and now Kendra is offering advice as well.
Wilkinson's former Playboy roomie Holly Madison was chosen to replace country singer Jewel on DWTS after she was forced to withdraw (along with Nancy O'Dell) due to injuries sustained during a rehearsal before the season began in 2009 and was quickly voted off the show.

But Kendra claims if she was asked - she wouldn't dance.  According to Us Weekly, Kendra said: "If I were asked to go on Dancing With the Stars,' I don't think I'd do it," citing the time it would take away from her child.  Gosselin has been criticized for spending so much time away from her small children.
Some believed the remark was a shot at Gosselin.  After her Today show appearance, Wilkinson made a "half-apology" on Twitter, the magazine muses.
"Didn't mean to bash Kate just meant to say I hate leaving my baby..lol. Sorry if ppl took it that way," she wrote.

Reality star Kendra Wilkinson (pictured) says she struggled to accept her new body after the birth of her son. The 24-year-old former Playboy model gave birth to son Hank IV in December and had her pals over shortly afterwards.

It didn't help that those friends included her former Girls Next Door co-star Holly Madison and Playboy star Tiffany Fallon.

She told Us Magazine: "I had my friends over, and it was bad timing. They were really hot and had really nice bodies." Wilkinson added that she was afraid her husband Hank Baskett would prefer their bodies.
She said: "I was just hoping Hank didn't look at them! Having a different body was such a culture shock. I'm so used to being hot and fit."

Holly Madison, star of Girls Next Door and former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner, is loving Las Vegas after the success of her new topless revue Peep Show.  She also recently confessed that she has used Dita Von Teese as an inspiration for a topless show that is not 'sloppy.'

However, Holly has revealed she doesn't tune into the hit E! Entertainment show, which made her a household name alongside Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson, since her move to Sin City.
She said: "I had a great time with Hef and the girls when they came to see ‘Peep Show’ and hang out in Vegas. "I don't watch the other episodes though because it kind of makes me mad. The girls need to focus on what makes them unique and not doing the same things Bridget, Kendra and I have already done on the show."

The former Playmate added, "Even camping in the backyard was an idea I had for an episode that we never got around to shooting. And guess what they just showed? The girls camping in the backyard. I don't want to look behind, I want to look forward."
The new season of the Girls on E! features Hugh Hefner's new girlfriend Crystal Harris and the Shannon twins. Madison is filming her own reality show as a Vegas showgirl and added: "The 'toplessness' is worked into the show very tastefully and I was very controlling about when and how long I would be topless.
"Not because I am shy about nudity at all but because I feel there is an effective way to do a burlesque show and then there is a sloppy way. "I'm very inspired by Dita Von Teese and people who do it really well. Hef really liked the show, but I knew he would. He loves burlesque and the girls in the show are really beautiful."

Hugh Hefner's No.1 girlfriend Crystal Harris said it's "flattering" to be compared to his ex Holly Madison, pictured. Crystal, 23, is now Hef's No.1 at the mansion in LA after Holly, 29, left last year.

He now lives with Crystal and 20-year-old twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon, who will be seen on the new season of E! show Girls Next Door.

Holly said in a recent interview that Crystal was like her "clone", but Crystal has dismissed the comments. She said: "That is flattering because I wouldn't compare myself saying that someone looks like me. I just think it's flattering."
Crystal added: "Living here, there is no pressure to look a certain way. But it definitely inspires you just being around such beautiful girls."

Keeping her schedule packed with fun-filled events, Holly Madison attended Oktoberfest at Hofbrauhaus restaurant in Las Vegas last night (October 9).

The “Peepshow” star showed off her beer pouring skills while serving as the official keg tapper of the night and looked cute/sexy in a German dirndl.

As previously reported, Ms Madison will soon start production on her own reality series, "Planet Holly," which will chronicle her life in Sin City.

Of her series, the 29-year-old told press, "It's not mean like other reality shows. [Planet Holly] will have some docu-drama, but it’s the perfect excuse for me to be normal in a lighthearted comedy romp.”
