Victoria Beckham is to appear on the panel of US talk show The View as a guest co-host. The 35-year-old star was recently seen as a guest judge on the talent show American Idol and she will now become part of the talk show alongside its existing hosts such as Barbara Walters.

Beckham first came on the show as a guest in September last year and she will be appearing on the popular ABC show as a co-host on February 17. The singer-turned-fashion designer has met Walters before when she and husband David, 34, were part of Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People of 2007.

More Spice....Mel B said last week all five of the Spice Girls are "super excited" about a musical to celebrate the band's music. The 34-year-old was one fifth of the hit band, which hit the big time in the late 90s, along with Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Halliwell.
It was recently announced that a musical is being developed by their former manager Simon Fuller and Mamma Mia! producer Judy Craymer based on their hits.
Mel B said to UK magazine Hello!: "All five of us are really super excited. We don't do anything unless all five agree. "All of us loved Mamma Mia! We needed someone who would have a great vision alongside ours."

Mel C uses Victoria Beckham to get tables in restaurants.

The singer admits her fame is not as big as her former Spice Girls bandmate and says she is not afraid to invent meetings with the fashion designer in order to get what she wants.

She confessed: "I still can't always get a table in restaurants. Although I do have a trick up my sleeve. I always say Victoria Beckham is coming when I book. There is always a table free then."

While Mel remains friends with Victoria and the rest of the group - Geri Halliwell, Mel B and Emma Bunton - she admits they don't always get on when they go out together.

She told the Sunday Telegraph newspaper: "To be honest, when we first split I didn't see the other girls for a couple of years. Then we began calling each other, and when we did the reunion tour we rediscovered how close we really are. And motherhood has mellowed all of us.

The Spice Girls get drunk at Victoria Beckham's house every Christmas.

The 'Wannabe' hitmakers - also consisting of Mel B, Mel C, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton - pay a visit to the singer-turned-fashion designer and her soccer star husband David Beckham every year, where they get "tipsy" on wine, eat lots of food and sing along to their old pop records.

Singer Emma is quoted by the Daily Express newspaper as saying: "We all go over to David and Victoria's for lovely food and good wine. It's the only time we all get to see each other, we get a bit tipsy and listen to Spice Girls songs. I can't believe I've admitted that!"

In addition to preparing for their annual get together, the former bandmates have been spending a lot more time together recently as they work on their upcoming musical.

Emma Bunton's son is "in love" with Mel C's daughter.

The former Spice Girls singers spend a lot of time together, and have noticed a special friendship growing between two-year-old Beau and Scarlet, nine months.

Emma revealed: "I had dim sum at Mel C's with Mel B this week. While us girls had a chat, Beau spent the time hugging Mel C's little girl Scarlet. He absolutely loves her!"

Meanwhile, Mel has opened up about Scarlet - her first child with partner Thomas Starr - admitting she is "fascinated" by the tot.

She said: "I'm constantly astounded by her. I could stare at her for hours. She fascinates me. I find it incredible to think that she's part of me and Tom. It's impossible to explain how life-changing motherhood is."

Despite her joy, Mel is amazed at how exhausting she is finding motherhood.

She said: "Looking after a baby is the hardest job in the world. Doing the day job is a bit of a rest! I thought that I'd worked hard before - I lived on so little sleep in the Spice Girls - but nothing could have prepared me for being a new mum. It totally wiped me out.

"It was overwhelming at times. When the baby won't sleep and it's 4am and you're beyond exhausted, it can be lonely.

Geri Halliwell has confirmed the Spice Girls are discussing reforming again.

The singer, who famously quit the girl band in May 1998, says she and the other members - Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Mel C - are considering getting back together for a third time.

She said on UK TV show ‘This Morning’: "We are friends first and foremost. Obviously a career and music evolved through that friendship I think. Whatever happens afterwards is a bonus. We always talk about creative plans. Right - now, I'll be honest: We are gathering information about a possibility, but I don't like to... when you are evolving a plan, you don't want to share it with the world."

Her comments come just days after she met up for dinner with Emma and the two Mels, where it is thought they discussed the plans.

Mel B later hinted at an imminent reunion, writing on her Twitter account: "Spice girls, stadiums?????????? Had dinner with the amazing melc emma and geri I love them so much (sic)."

Ginger, Baby, Scary and Sporty Spice discussed getting back together over dinner at The Palm restaurant in London's exclusive Knightsbridge district on Wednesday night (16.09.09).

It is understood the foursome continued negotiations at the nearby Mayfair Hotel, where they enjoyed several cocktails.

Fellow bandmate Victoria Beckham was not at the meeting, believed to be because she is busy launching her Spring/Summer 10 collection at New York Fashion Week.

Emma Bunton threw a "tantrum" in a nightclub because they wouldn't let her smoke.

The former Spice Girls singer - nicknamed Baby Spice because she was so sweet and innocent - shocked onlookers when she reportedly screamed at staff at London's Mahiki nightclub because they wouldn't let her breach their smoking ban in the early hours of Thursday morning (25.06.09).

A source at the club - which is a favourite of Princes Harry and William - told the mailonline website: "Emma came in with a pal and seemed to be in good spirits. No one knew she was coming and staff managed to find a table for her.

"After a while she asked a member of staff if she could smoke a cigarette but was told that she wasn't allowed."

The 33-year-old star - who has a 22-month-old son Beau with her partner Jade Jones - was outraged, and demanded to speak to a senior member of staff.

The source added: "The manager came over and politely told her that the club has a no smoking policy. He was overheard saying that they don't even do it for the princes. Emma is usually so mild-mannered, so those who heard what was going on were quite shocked."
