Kelly Rowland is a control freak.

The former Destiny's Child singer admits she likes to plan every detail of her life but was pleased recently when her date insisted he make all her decisions.

She explained: "When I'm on a date, I'm very in charge. It's like, 'Hello my name is Kelly and I'm a bit of a control freak!' Even when I go to dinner with my friends, I say, 'OK, we'll all order this and this and this, and I want this day to run like this'

"I'd gotten away with it on some dates until recently when this guy actually made me be the woman, and I thought that was really cool.

"He said, 'Let me be the man; I know you know what's great on the menu, and I know you know exactly where you like to go, but I like to be spontaneous, so tonight you'll be the lady and I'll be the man.' And I was like, well alright! I liked the way he put me in my place. He'll be getting a call back."

Rumors claiming Destiny's Child is planning a reunion are false, the former U.S. music group's manager said Monday.

"Contrary to rumors online of a Destiny's Child reunion, there are no plans for the group to reunite for a performance or album. The rumors are false," said a statement from Mathew Knowles issued by Columbia Records/Music World.

"Destiny's Child made an unprecedented impact in contemporary music, becoming one of the best-selling groups of all time," the statement added. "Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams have each moved on to successful solo careers. The members remain close, but will not reunite as a group."

Kelly Rowland rowed with cabin crew on a "sh**ty" flight into Sydney, Australia yesterday (15.04.10).

The former Destiny's Child singer reportedly flew into a rage as she got off her flight from Melbourne and criticised staff on the plane for being "rude", "unpleasant" and treating her and her entourage like children.

She said: "I found the flight attendants really sh**ty. I don't know why. You tell me.

"They were very rude to us. That's the first time you'll ever hear me say a curse word. They were just rude to us on the plane. They treated us like five-year-old kids."

According to reports, tension on the Qantas airlines journey started when a group of passengers - believed to be in Kelly's entourage - started using their mobile telephones and sat in wrong seats.

Kelly Rowland once fell asleep on a date.

The Destiny's Child singer - who is currently single - once dozed off during a romantic cinema trip with a prospective boyfriend and was snoring so loudly her bandmate Beyonce Knowles had to interrupt and wake her up.

She explained: "Once I fell asleep. He was the nicest guy, but I just happened to fall asleep. We were at a movie and yes, he noticed that I fell asleep. Beyonce had to come up to me and say, 'You're snoring. We can hear you snoring back here.' That was so embarrassing."

The 'Independent Women' group - which also included Michelle Williams - are currently taking time off from the girl group to focus on their own individual projects.

However, the 28-year-old singer and Beyonce, also 28, are still great friends and haven't ruled out a reunion.

She explained: "If I'm in New York and Beyonce is in New York, we're there with each other. We pretty much like to stay in or we'll go to a lounge - it depends if we feel like being out.

Former "Destiny's Child" singer Michelle Williams is set to appear in the Broadway musical "Chicago" next month, the show's producers said.

Williams will play Roxie Hart for a limited engagement, starting Feb. 8 and running through March 28.

Williams first played the role last year in London's West End production of "Chicago" at the Cambridge Theatre.

"Her limited engagement proved so successful that it was extended an additional three weeks by popular demand," the show's producers noted in a release.

Amy Poehler, Christina Applegate Squeak For Laughs In "Chipmunks"

Two years ago, a big screen adaptation of "Alvin and Chipmunks" became a surprise hit at box offices grossing $360 million worldwide. The movie was based on the animated music group created in 1958 about three singing chipmunks and their exasperated manager/father.

This week, "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" hits theaters with a new, all-female singing group, The Chipettes, who give Alvin, Simon and Theodore a run for their money.

Comediennes Amy Poehler and Christina Applegate, who play chubby Chipette Eleanor and lead singer Brittany, respectively, sat down with Reuters to talk about their roles, parallels to pop diva Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Bundy's future.

Q: Were you asked to play the specific Chipettes?

Christina: The studio must have had their own reasons because they came to us with those characters already in mind.

Amy: The reason why I was excited about doing this was because I heard Anna (Faris, who rounds out the trio) and Christina would be doing it and I love their work so much.

Christina: I just watched (Poehler's 2008 movie) 'Baby Mama' the other day again, and it's so funny.

Amy: Oh thanks. I was so skinny then.

Q: Any similarities between you and your Chipmunk selves?

Amy: I want to be a star! (laughter) Well, Christina is a good leader. She's a good front person and she's an excellent singer and dancer in real life.

Christina: Thank you for answering that question.

Amy: You're welcome. I would say that I am like Eleanor in that I'm the shortest. And like Eleanor, I do not enjoy wearing high heels. I don't walk very well in them. But Christina and I look like we could have a bit of Chipmunk in our DNA.

Christina: I have really hairy arms.

Amy: And we both sleep all winter (laughter).

Q: How was it recording the voices? You had to speak really slowly so your speech would sound normal when sped up.

Amy: When I was recording, I would crack myself up, and they ended up using my laugh for Eleanor. I'm sad to say that when my laugh is sped up, it sounds like an appropriate chipmunk laugh.

Q: In the movie, your evil manager, played by David Cross, tries to make Brittany the big star, pushing her sisters to the side. Very Destiny's Child, don't you think? Do you feel the parallels to (lead singer) Beyonce's life as The Chipettes sing "All the Single Ladies?"

Amy: We always feel the parallels. I mean, in every day life, no matter what I'm doing, I'm thinking about how it relates to Beyonce. In the past, I've said to directors I've worked with: "Now what would Beyonce think?"

Q: And what would Beyoncee think?

Christina: She'd be like, I'm so rich.

Amy: I'm hungry. (Laughter)

Q: Did you watch The Chipmunks TV show when you were kids?

Amy: Christina and I were talking earlier about how we listened to the records more than watch the show. There was a punk Chipmunk record we both used to love.

Christina: Yeah, it had songs like "My Sharona."

Q: Can you recite the theme song to the TV show?

Amy: I don't remember it. Do you?

Christina: I don't remember it either, but I grew up in Laurel Canyon (an arts and music community in the Hollywood Hills) and my mom used to let me watch things like Benny Hill when I was a kid.

Amy: (laughs) Benny Hill!

Christina: My mom's from Indiana...

Amy: The thing about The Chipmunks is that they've always been around. You associate really great memories with them. A lot of Christmas memories.

Christina: Yes!

Amy: So it's nice that this movie is coming out on Christmas Day because that was...

Christina: Actually, it's coming out on the 23rd.

Amy: Copy that, thank you. Okay, so around Christmas. They certainly were a harbinger for the seasons changing when I was growing up. Their voices -- kids are immediately attracted to that. It's like a dog whistle. When they hear it, they go crazy.

Q: Speaking of kids, Amy, earlier this year you also voiced a part in 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' Has motherhood changed the way you choose roles? (Poehler and husband Will Arnett have a one-year old son, Archie.)

Amy: Yes and no. Animation is very time consuming so you have to choose something you're okay with making a commitment to. I think I've been lucky to work on things that I feel will stand the test of time. Between myself and my husband, who does so much animated stuff, it's nice to think someday my son will recognize our voices.

Q: Christina, you are forever known as bimbo Kelly Bundy on TV's 'Married with Children. If there was a reunion special or a movie feature ever made, what would Kelly be doing today?

Amy: That's a great question. What would she be doing?

Christina: Hooking. (laughter)

Christina: She'd have, like, six kids and still be living at home. We all used to say that if you ever did a reunion, you'd just find us all on that couch. Most of our scenes took place on that orange and yellow gross couch.

Amy: (laughs) That's amazing.

Christina: That couch is now in the Smithsonian.

Amy: That is so cool!

Kelly Rowland's Fried Rider

Kelly Rowland demanded friend chicken and a special chair at Elton John's charity gig over the weekend.

The former Destiny's Child star told organisers at the Elton John Aids Foundation bash that she wanted "untold amounts of KFC" and a "love seat" before her performance.

It seems Kelly is undertaking an unusual diet - last week it was claimed the 28-year-old had banned chocolate from the gig and also needed a hypnotherapist to make sure she didn't succumb to her urge for the treat.

In the past Kelly has admitted that she sometimes allows herself to eat burgers and cookies when she gets lazy.

The 'When Love Takes Over' singer performed a number of her biggest solo hits, as well as some songs from her time in Destiny's Child.

Guests, including Lily Allen and Liz Hurley, enjoyed a three-course meal at the event which was held at London's Grosvenor House hotel.

They started with a winter salad of glazed figs, ham and goats cheese mousse, followed by sea bass and potatoes with a chocolate truffle with blackberries for desert.

50 Cent Recruits Kelly Rowland For Video

Rapper 50 Cent says former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland "never received the superstar treatment" that Beyonce got in the girl group. And he's doing his bit to fix that.

Rowland co-stars in his "Baby By Me" video, which premiered on the Internet Monday. The track appears on his "Before I Self Destruct" album, now due November 16 via Interscope. It marks his follow-up to 2007's "Curtis," which peaked at No. 2 on the U.S. charts.

"You can't forget all the work she did with Destiny's Child," he told Billboard.com. "The difference between Kelly and Beyonce is the extreme focus they put on Beyonce to make sure she was completely right. Kelly wasn't held in the same regard, so, in order for her to mean anything to America, they'd have to match the marketing dollars spent on Beyonce. She never received the superstar treatment."

The video finds 50 Cent meeting an around-the-way Rowland and day-dreaming about moving out of the 'hood and living a blissful life in the suburbs, where the happy couple resides with their three sons. But, after declaring his love and promises of sexing her up, 50 discovers the visions were all figments of his imagination, as Rowland is actually already married to another man, with whom she has a child.

Rowland isn't the only "Kelly" with whom 50 Cent worked on this project; he also collaborated on a total of three songs with R. Kelly, including one titled "Could've Been You," which made the final cut. But the album isn't all love, lust and sex, according to 50 Cent, who says there's a lot of "aggression" on this album as well.

"This album is the sequel to (his 2003 breakthrough) 'Get Rich Or Die Tryin' -- it has all the elements that I missed writing about on that first project," 50 Cent said. "That album translated the strongest and what I presented then was a lot of aggression. The actual album has lyrics about moments from my childhood, and I describe then from a child's perspective."

Suga Sniper Heidi Range

Heidi Range got Keisha Buchanan kicked out of the Sugababes.

The blonde singer is alleged to have secretly made a deal with bandmate Amelle Berrabah to push out Keisha - the last remaining founding member of the group - because she thought Keisha would ruin their chances of success in the US.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Keisha clashed with Amelle since she joined.

"Heidi did not want to be in a position where a big bust-up might arise while they're promoting their material in America.

"So she persuaded management a less headstrong character would be better suited to the group."

The US remains a crucial market for the Sugababes to crack and they have recently secured a multi-million deal with Jay-Z's new label Roc Nation.

Keisha has been replaced with former Eurovision Song contest Jade Ewen - who has promptly been sent into the studio to re-record all of Keisha's vocals for forthcoming album 'Sweet 7', due for release on November 23.

Keisha, 24, was seen in tears at the Red Bull Fashion Factory party, which was part of London Fashion Week, on Monday night (22.09.09), just hours after she announced she had left the girl group.

She was comforted in the VIP section by British boy band JLS and former Destiny's Child singer Michelle Williams.

A source said: "Michelle was the first to offer words of encouragement. But it all got too much for Keisha, who started to cry in the middle of the party. She was overheard saying, 'I'm devastated about what happened. Everyone hates me. I did everything I could to make it work between me and the girls. I'm so lost."

Kelly Rowland's Happy Ending

Kelly Rowland is "finally" happy after years of "living in fear".

The singer battled self-doubt after she struggled to establish her solo career following the split of Destiny's Child, but started to believe in her talent again when she achieved international success.

She said: "I feel empowered - finally! When you don't believe in yourself, you feel like you're living in fear. You don't give yourself the opportunity to believe that you can. And as much as you tell yourself you can't do it, you end up not doing it. Me? I was complacent and comfortable where I was.

"Here in America, sometimes my music didn't quite work, but overseas it's on top of everybody's chart. I've had more international success than domestic success, and I think that opens my eyes up to music. I mean, I just got back from performing in Lebanon. Lebanon!

"I don't ever want to get in a box to where I'm thinking that this is the only place that can ever exist. I love being overseas just as much as I love being home. Plus, I know all my eating spots over there now, so I'm good!"
