The actress stars in new movie 'Burlesque' and producers asked her to alter her appearance as they didn't think she looked convincingly evil enough for the role.

He said: "I'm a blonde girl who goes dark to go bad. They felt my character should be brunette and bad."

Kristen - who recently got engaged to Dax Shepard - stars in the film with singers Cher and Christina Aguilera and loved playing a nightclub worker who got to bully the 'Dirrty' hitmaker.

She added to the Daily Mail newspaper: "I'm the girl who feels threatened by Christina.

Madonna and Britney Spears' smooch at the MTV Video Music Awards has been voted Top Kiss in a new poll.

The on stage kiss during a performance of Madonna's track 'Like A Virgin' in 2003 was voted the most famous smooch of the last decade, according to the poll conducted by UK department store Selfridges.

The performance - which also saw Madonna kiss Christina Aguilera - made headlines across the world and is one of the most shocking moments in the history of the music channel's annual awards.

A source said: "Madonna performing with both Britney and Christina was a big enough event in itself, but nobody - even the MTV people - expected what happened. It is one of the most memorable moments ever."

Two - New Moon star Robert Pattinson has reportedly signed on for the Hope for Haiti telethon.
The 23-year-old British star will reportedly be the only presenter in London, where there will be performances from Jay-Z and Bono. George Clooney will present from LA, with Wyclef Jean presenting from New York and Anderson Cooper in Haiti. Stars performing on the show include Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, Christina Aguilera, Shakira and Bruce Springsteen.
Other celebs who are also taking part include Jennifer Aniston, Jake Gyllenhaal, Brad Pitt, Zac Efron and Renee Zellweger among others.

Ricky Gervais hosts 67th annual Golden Globe Awards - Christina Aguilera, Tom Hanks and Neil Patrick Harris have agreed to be presenters at the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards show in Los Angeles.

The prize presentation is to take place Jan. 17 with comedian Ricky Gervais serving as host.

Aguilera, Hanks and Harris join previously announced presenters Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Gerard Butler, Colin Farrell, Matthew Fox, Mel Gibson, Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren, Julia Roberts, Mickey Rourke and Sam Worthington, organizers said Wednesday.

Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio are to present the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's Cecil B. DeMille Award to Martin Scorsese for his outstanding contribution to the entertainment field.

Christina Aguilera's son inspired her new album.

The 'Beautiful' singer - who will release her fourth LP, 'Bionic', in March - says her sound has changed dramatically since she became a mother to her 23-month-old son Max.

She told Marie Claire magazine: "I had a really hard time being light before. I'd get a little weird about it being too cliched. My first record was very cliched pop - what everyone else wanted.

"'Stripped' was inspired by a lot of pain and 'Back to Basics' still had some sort of relation to my past.

"My new one is just about the future - my son in my life, motivating me to want to play and have fun.

"Things that maybe I've been afraid to do in the past, to allow myself to go to a place of 'less singing'. I'm more vulnerable and stronger at the same time."

It seems motherhood is now having a different effect Christina - who is married to music producer Jordan Bratman - since she started recording the LP.

In October, the 29-year-old pop star claimed it would be "unfair" if she changed her career or style just because she had a family.

Asked how becoming a mom had affected her attitude to work, she said: "As far as motherhood affecting me creatively goes - like, I shouldn't be wearing that because I'm a mom - it hasn't. That wouldn't be fair to me.

Christina Aguilera's favorite place is bed, not that she gets to spend much time there nowadays. The mother of one-year-old Max Liron (whose Latin and Hebrew names are said to mean "our greatest song") has had to transform herself from a night owl into a morning person.

"Now I'm a mother, I am getting up earlier," said Aguilera, who is married to entrepreneur and music marketer Jordan Bratman.

"It's 6am every day but I’m a night owl regardless, which means that, for me, going to bed early means trying to get to sleep by 12.30am. My bedtime before I had my child was 3 or 4am, but that’s because I love the night, when everything shuts up and I have a moment to be creative."
Aguilera is not shy about the pleasures of the marital bed. She once said she and Bratman enjoyed naked Sundays.
She said: "My favorite times with him are when we are just cozying up in bed together. I love my bed, I eat in bed, and if it were up to me I would do everything from my bed."

Out for family time, Christina Aguilera and her hubby Jordan Bratman took their son Max shopping at Barney's New York in Beverly Hills on Saturday (October 17).

The "Genie in a Bottle" babe toted her little boy in her arms as she browsed the store's selections, leaving after finishing up the retail romp.

Meanwhile, Miss Aguilera recently chatted with press about her personal likings - revealing that she prefers naked women as opposed to men.

"I think women are such sensual beings. We're just naturally sexier and more beautiful to look at," she tells.

She continues, "And, I mean, I'm attracted to men ultimately -- I'm married and I love my husband and I love what we do together."

Country music babe Julianne Hough has bagged a role in upcoming movie Burlesque alongside Christina Aguilera. The stunning Dancing With The Stars champion-turned actress will play a dancer in the musical about a small town girl who becomes a star at a Hollywood Burlesque club.

Pop diva Aquilera takes the lead role, while Grammy-winning singer and Oscar-winning actress Cher will play the owner of the club. Kristen Bell, of hit TV shows Veronica Mars and Forgetting Sarah Marshall fame, has nabbed the role of Christina's dancing rival.

Burlesque is set to begin filming next month and will hit US movie screens in late 2010, according to theboot.com. Julianne will be seen in at least one other movie next year, as she also has a part in the remake of the iconic 1984 film Footloose, starring opposite Gossip Girl hunk Chace Crawford.
The much-anticipated teen dance flick will begin production in March, with a reported release date of June 2010.

Getting ready for the Halloween holiday, Christina Aguilera joined husband Jordan Bratman to take their son Max to Mr Bones Pumpkin Patch in West Hollywood on Sunday (October 11).

There to pick out a pumpkin for the family home, the trio were all smiles as they scoured the grounds for the perfect gourd.

Aside from tending to her family, Miss Aguilera has signed on to star in the upcoming film "Burlesque" alongside Kristen Bell.

According to reports, "the story follows a young small-town girl (Aguilera) as she ventures into the city in the hopes of becoming a star. Soon she discovers an L.A. burlesque bar, where the men are fast and the women faster. She quickly uses her amazing voice and burlesque dancing to become the joint's new star."
