Amy Winehouse has taken up golf. The singer has started playing the sedate game to keep her away from the party scene and is enjoying it so much she is now planning to get professional lessons.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "She played nine holes and loved it, she had a natural swing. Amy wants to learn how to play properly now."
Amy has allegedly been hitting the course during breaks from recording her new album - the follow-up to 2006's 'Back to Black'.
It seems the pop star's new boyfriend, director Reg Traviss, is having a positive influence on the previously wayward singer. The couple - who are believed to have first started dating around May - are now planning to move in together.
A source said: "She's asked Reg to move in with her in her London home and he's agreed. He has met all the family and is a hit."
Close friends of the 26-year-old songstress - who was previously married to drug addict Blake Fielder-Civil - have credited her new lover for having a calming influence on her, which has led to her fully concentrating on getting her album out.
The source explained: "It has been a long time coming - and she's been writing songs for what seems an eternity - but finally Amy is satisfied and believes she has an album worthy to release.

Amy Winehouse’s comeback album will reportedly be released in January. It has been nearly four years since the British singer released her multi-Grammy Award-winning Back to Black record. During her time off from the music business, Amy has battled drug and alcohol addictions and married and then divorced Blake Fielder-Civil.

Now clean and sober and dating a new man, Amy is preparing to go into the recording studio again. She has reportedly written enough material for “three separate albums” but will choose just 14 tracks for her long-awaited comeback. She has promised her record label the LP will be better than anything she has done before.
"It's been an incredible past few weeks for Amy. She has completely turned her life around,” an insider told British newspaper The Daily Mirror.
"It has been a long time coming - and she's been writing songs for what seems an eternity - but finally Amy is satisfied and believes she has an album worthy of a four-year wait.
"She's held meetings with the record label, Universal, and they are putting everything into promotion.”
Amy’s as-yet-unnamed record is due to hit stores worldwide in January 2011. It is said to be “very personal”, containing several tracks about her heartbreak over her split from Blake, and others about her battle with alcohol and drug abuse.
"A lot of the material covers her romance with Blake Fielder Civil and their acrimonious split, plus, of course, her battle with the booze and drugs,” the source continued.
"It is very raw and very personal - it promises to be another classic. She is now narrowing down the material and hopes it'll be on shelves by the new year."
Amy is also planning a tour to promote the new record.

After years of keeping her fans waiting, Amy Winehouse has promised that she'll release a new album by January of next year.

"The album will be six months at the most," Winehouse told Metro UK, which caught up with the singer this week at the London premiere of the film "Psychosis."

"It's going to be very much the same as my second album, where there's a lot of jukebox stuff and songs that are ... just jukebox, really.

"I just can't wait to have new songs on stage, really," Winehouse added.

Just last week, however, Winehouse collaborator Mark Ronson suggested that the wait for a new Winehouse album was still going on indefinitely. "Amy hasn't begun working on her next record yet," he said at a gig in London, during which Winehouse took the stage for a surprise performance of their song "Valerie." "When she's got ten songs we'll go down to the studio together."

The new album would be Winehouse's first since 2006's "Back to Black," which sold 2.2 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan, and won five Grammy Awards, including album of the year. Winehouse has been on a turbulent hiatus ever since, due to struggles with addiction and subsequent health problems that have made her a regular subject of tabloid gossip.

Blake Fielder-Civil: Amy Winehouse Is My Greatest Love

Amy Winehouse’s ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil says the singer is the “love of his life”. The musician had a turbulent, drug-fueled relationship with Blake, which saw him imprisoned for grievous bodily harm and trial fixing.

Amy managed to clean up her act while Blake was behind bars and although they attempted a reunion when he was released, they couldn’t make their long-distance relationship work.
The pair have now split for good and Amy is dating film director Reg Traviss. Blake is also in a new relationship and although he is happy with his latest girlfriend, he admits he will always have feelings for his superstar ex-wife.
“She’s the love of my life,” Blake said in an interview with British magazine New! “She loves me, but not in a romantic way.”
Blake claims he is now sober and accepts he and Amy were a bad influence on each other when they were together. He says they experimented with Class A drugs and became addicted to illegal substances because they were so depressed and scared of being forced to break up. Blake also says Amy was surrounded by people who wanted her to continue taking drugs because they were making money from the deals.
“At the time, we were so scared of being separated from each other that we didn’t trust other people’s motives,” he explained. “We had people outside our house 24/7, shouting our names and trying to take photos of us so they could run a nasty story. You just end up imploding and drugs took that pain away.
“It wasn’t that rock’n’roll. There was no cocaine on cornflakes. It might have been spiced up as that, but it was very lonely, sad, depressing, mistrusting – it was just awful. You wake up and you’re poorly. The nature of addiction is that you have to persevere in it, otherwise the physical sickness you get is unbearable.
“We did try and make wholehearted attempts to stop on a few occasions and went to rehab clinics, but it just wasn’t working.”

Amy - who ended her reconciled relationship with ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil to be with Reg - is said to be even more focused on her music than ever thanks to her new-found happiness.

Winehouse Senior Launches Career In Music

Like father, like daughter. British singer Amy Winehouse's taxi-driving father Mitch has launched his own musical career with a jazz album made up mainly of cover versions but also four original tracks.

And the silver-haired London cabbie, who has appeared in the media commenting on his daughter's troubled personal life, believes he may learn enough to pass on some tips.

"I mean, if I became a huge success I'd have a retinue of hangers-on and I'd be able to order people around and I'd show Amy how to really be a diva," he told Reuters at a recent event to launch his debut album "Rush of Love."

"You know, I'd really show her how to do it. I mean my dressing room that they've got for me here today is like a broom closet and there's no Jack Daniels or champagne in there. I think it's an absolute disgrace. I'll show Amy how to do it big time," he joked.

Winehouse senior admitted that his daughter's fame had helped him start up in the business.

"As far as I'm concerned, there was no other way into the industry for me, because, you know, I wasn't even a singer when I was younger. May be I'm giving a big up to the geriatrics of the world. Never too late."

He also said he would not have been able to go ahead with his record if Amy, famed for her beehive hairstyle and husky singing voice, was still struggling to keep her personal life together.

She won five Grammy awards in 2008, and her album "Back to Black" has sold over 10 million copies. But she has had a series of brushes with the law and has battled drug addiction, which has overshadowed her recording success.

"Amy and I had been speaking about it for about five or six years and the timing wasn't right," Mitch said.

"She wasn't particularly well and now she's much better. You know, I couldn't have done this album if she was ill. I wouldn't have able to put my heart and soul into it."

According to Mitch Winehouse's website, Rush of Love is "no album of the usual Rat Pack standards -- it is jazz, swing, crooning, if you like, but not pop."

Amy Winehouse is desperate to stay sober for her new boyfriend.

The troubled 'Rehab' singer was reportedly admitted to The London Clinic - where she has been treated before for alcohol-related problems - on Friday (11.06.10) after director Reg Traviss told her how much he hates her hard=partying ways.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "When she's not on the bottle they get on brilliantly. But Reg has told her to quit the drinking, otherwise he'll be off, and she hit it hard last week.

"She wants to keep him so has decided to make a huge effort to stay sober."

Amy has been dating the filmmaker since they met at his parents' pub in central London a few weeks ago, and the pair have made many promises to one another as their romance becomes more serious.

Amy Winehouse wants to be an actress.

The 'Rehab' singer is reportedly hoping to make the transition from music to movies, and has even signed up for acting lessons to help her achieve her Hollywood dream.

A family friend told the Daily Star newspaper: "Amy has enrolled for acting lessons at the Central School of Speech and Drama in north London.

"Everyone close to her thinks it's a great idea and believes she could make the transition from singer to actress quite easily."

The troubled star's obsession with Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe is said to have partly inspired the potential career move, and 26-year-old Amy is even considering emulating the tragic screen legend's famous look.

Amy Winehouse's boyfriend has dumped his other lover.

The 'Rehab' singer reportedly issued an ultimatum to Reg Traviss after she learned he was also dating burlesque performer Raven Isis Holt, prompting the film director to end his two-year relationship with the performer.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Reg got into trouble last week because he hasn't told Amy about Raven.

"Amy went out on the town and Reg was only up the road dining with her.

"When Amy found out she challenged him - and Reg decided to stick with her."
