U.S. TV and film star Amanda Bynes says she is re-entering showbiz and quitting the retirement she announced about a month ago.

The 24-year-old actress who got her start on Nickelodeon's "All That" followed by "The Amanda Show," tweeted her retirement last month saying" "I don't love acting anymore, so I've stopped doing it."

However, Bynes reversed the decision Friday, tweeting to her fans: "I've unretired," People magazine reported.

Bynes will next been seen on the big screen Sept. 17 in "Easy-A," described by People as a high school comedy.

Amanda Bynes has joined the cast of the Farrelly brothers’ new comedy, Hall Pass.

The film, which the writing/directing pair are working on as they wait for their take on the Three Stooges to claw its way out of casting and development hell, finds two married couples stuck in a rut.

Things change when the wives give their husbands a “hall pass” that would enable them to have extra-martial affairs without consequence. But there’s a catch – the wives get to indulge themselves as well.

Owen Wilson, Jenna Fischer and Jason Sudekis are already all aboard the film, which will start cranking its cameras next week in Atlanta.

The mega-hot costars looked to be enjoying themselves as they chatted and joked while filming scenes on the outdoor Ojai, California set.

And of course, Cam gave the ladies plenty to gawk at, sporting a blue v-neck t-shirt that showed off his studly physique.

Also starring Amanda Bynes and Penn Badgley, “Easy A” is about a clean-cut high school student who relies on the school's rumor mill to advance her social and financial standing.

In what’s sure to be a hit film, Cam Gigandet, Amanda Bynes, and Penn Badgley were all spotted on the set of “Easy A” on Wednesday (June 17).

The “Twilight” stud looked especially handsome as he toted a guitar on his back, sporting a few different outfits throughout the day.

Meanwhile, Miss Bynes looked fit and fine in an argyle sweater and belted denim skirt as she chatted on her mobile phone in between takes.

And “Gossip Girl” hunk Penn Badgley looked decidedly low-key as he munched on some food at the craft services table.

Taking care of some business matters, Amanda Bynes was spotted leaving an office building in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon (June 10).

The “She’s the Man” actress looked focused as she text messaged on her mobile phone while walking to her car.

In related news, Miss Bynes has reportedly signed on with Screen Gems for a two-picture deal, the first of which is a Will Gluck-directed comedy titled “Easy A.”

Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper told press, “She’s one of the few who can make that graceful transition from kid to adult star because she has such strong comic chops.”

After yesterday's news that Superbad actresses Emma Stone and She's The Man (oh no she's not!) star Amanda Bynes are teaming up for fast and loose comedy Easy A, more cast have been announced.

Heading up the supporting line-up are Lisa Kudrow, Patricia Clarkson, Stanley Tucci,  Thomas Haden Church and Malcolm McDowell as the teachers and Gossip Girls' Penn Badgley, Cam 'Twilight' Gigandet, Alyson Machalka, and Daniel Bird as the students. Whatever way you look at it, that's a pretty heavyweight comedy line-up that has us suddenly hoping that this will be another 10 Things I Hate About You.

Stone will play the girl protesting her promiscuity after a vicious rumour is passed around that she is a slut, who gets back at the critics by starting rumours about the puritanical students and their liberal opposites to start a clash.

Will Gluck, known for his cheerleading comedy Fired Up is directing from a script crafter by playwright Bert V. Royal, who used themes from The Scarlet Letter for the plot of Easy A.

Amanda Bynes may generally confine herself to unremarkable teen movies but she has some genuine comedy chops, which is why we're rather pleased to hear that she has two films lined up with Screen Gems: first a supporting role in Easy A and secondly a starring vehicle.

Easy A is the high school comedy based (very loosely) on Nathaniel Hawthorne's literary classic The Scarlet Letter, as Emma Stone's student is tortured by a false rumour that she has lost her virginity and decides to exploit the rumour mill for her own benefit. Bynes will play the puritanical high school queen bee.

Secondly Bynes will get her own starring vehicle, but there are no details on that yet. Given that She's The Man is something of a guilty pleasure here, let's hope that her next effort can transition to outright good.

Becoming more and more of a social butterfly these days, Amanda Bynes was spotted out yesterday (March 24) lunching in West Hollywood at Café Midi with a female friend.

The 22-year-old hottie didn’t pay much attention to the paparazzi as she texted on her phone and headed back to her car après lunch. She looked simple and cute in a white tank, black jeans and black boots.

In related news, the “Sydney White” star is set to return to television on a new sitcom called, “Canned.” Ms Bynes will reportedly play Sarabeth, a midwestern gal who gets canned from her job.

The comedy is supposed to air this fall on the ABC television network.
