Production has begun in Studio City, Calif., on "Romantically Challenged," a new comedy series starring Alyssa Milano, ABC said Wednesday.

The show stars Milano, Kyle Bornheimer, Josh Lawson and Kelly Stables as four friends trying to find love and happiness, the network said in a release.

Ricky Blitt, who has worked on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show" and "Family Guy," is an executive producer of the show, along with James Burrows, a veteran of "The Mary Tyler
Moore Show," "Cheers" and "Will & Grace," who also is the director. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television.

ABC did not say when the show is expected to start airing.

Alyssa Milano, star of ABC's midseason comedy "Romantically Challenged," is doing double duty for the network.

The "Charmed" veteran has signed on for a guest stint on ABC's quirky detective drama "Castle."

Milano will play the ex-girlfriend of lead character Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion), a mystery novelist who works with the NYPD. Her appearance is sure to complicate the flirtatiously charged relationship between Castle and detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic).

True Blood star Anna Paquin loves her romance with co-star Stephen Moyer. On screen, Anna plays Stephen's character's love interest in the HBO series True Blood and off screen, the pair have recently got engaged. The 27-year-old told British Elle magazine: "What makes relationships so difficult with my job is all the traveling and being away from your significant other.

"Eventually it gets too hard to maintain." Since 39-year-old Moyer and Paquin work together, it is easier for the couple. She said: "It's great to have the freedom to enjoy your work and not feel like you're leaving your other life behind. "It's a pretty sweet set-up."

Teen sensation Selena Gomez has been officially appointed UNICEF's youngest ever ambassador. The 17-year-old Wizards of Waverly Place actress, who as a child starred in Disney's Barney and Friends, has been chosen to 'use her voice, recognition and commitment to children's issues to fundraise and educate' on behalf of the organization. It is hoped she can reach out to and engage young people in the global mission to save lives.
"Every day 25,000 children die from preventable causes," said Gomez. "I stand with UNICEF in the belief that we can change that number from 25,000 to zero. "I know we can achieve this because every moment, UNICEF is on the ground providing children with the life-saving assistance needed to ensure zero becomes a reality." The starlet is heading off to Ghana this week on her first official field-mission as an Ambassador. Selena joins the likes of Joel Madden, Lucy Liu, Alyssa Milano and Sarah Jessica Parker who have all championed UNICEF through the years.

Taking the dreamed-of walk down the aisle, Alyssa Milano and David Bugliari tied the knot at his family's estate in New Jersey on Saturday afternoon (August 15).

The 36-year-old actress reportedly donned a custom gown by Vera Wang as she said her "I Do's" with her Hollywood agent beau in what has been described as a lovely ceremony.

"We wanted a wedding that was reflective of who we are as a couple" Milano told People magazine, who first broke the happy news.

"My Italian family still eats Sunday dinner together every week," Milano adds. "We wanted to capture the same feeling with people passing around beautiful bowls of food and talking and laughing."

Among the guests on hand rejoicing in the couple's love for one another was Bugliari's actor pal, Bradley Cooper.

Alyssa Milano is leading a very charmed life in her new movie My Girlfriend's Boyfriend, as the single girl who finds two seemingly perfect guys. The former Little Miss Matrix is not only starring but will also produce the indie rom-com.

Joining her will be Michael Landes (who has spent too much time on British TV screens with shows like Love Soup and Hotel Babylon), and Ugly Betty's boy Christopher Gorham as the love interests, as well as Scrooged's squeak-voiced angel Carol Kane and brother of The Dude, Mr Beau Bridges, .

Milano's leading lady will be a confident girl who hooks up with  a struggling novelist, played by Gorham and a career-driven advertising exec played by Landes.

Milano is best known for her TV show Charmed, but has just finished a stint on karma comedy show My Name Is Earl, as well as a pilot which garnered attention for ABC called Romantically Challenged. Gorham meanwhile moved on from playing accounts geek Henry in Ugly Betty to a new series called Harper's Island, and Landes will join Sarah Michelle Gellar for her new supernatural show Possession.

Actor-turned-director Daryn Tufts (whose past work includes American Mormon and  American Mormon in Europe) will direct the My Girlfriend's Boyfriend from his own script . Shooting kicks off this summer.
