Alicia Silverstone can't wait to become a mother.

The actress - who married musician Christopher Jarecki in 2005 - recently had to wear a pregnancy fat suit for her part in the critically acclaimed Broadway play 'Time Stands Still', and admits it made her feel broodier than ever.

She said: "Wearing a pregnancy suit was so much fun. I loved the feeling of pretending to be pregnant and having little arms and legs and this big belly.

"I've been wanting to have a baby since I was two years old - I'm destined to be a mother. I can't wait to be pregnant."

Hollywood star George Clooney's latest movie "Up In The Air" garnered five Oscar nominations on Tuesday but there is one film about which he may not be so proud -- "Batman and Robin."

The 1997 movie starring Clooney as the caped crusader with Chris O'Donnell as Robin and Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl came top in an online survey by film magazine Empire to find the most disastrous film ever made. Clooney has not been shy about belittling the film and his role in it.

The magazine said it did not just come top in voters' rankings but got almost three times as many votes as the next entry -- John Travolta's science-fiction "Battlefield Earth" which was a film adaptation of a novel by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.

Here is a list of the top 10 of Empire's list of the 50 most disastrous movies ever made with the rest available on Empire's website (www.empireonline.com):

1. "Batman and Robin" starring George Clooney, Alicia Silverstone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Uma Thurman

2. "Battlefield Earth" (2000) starring John Travolta, Forest Whitaker

3. "The Love Guru" (2008) with Mike Myers

4. "Raise the Titanic" (1980) with Jason Robards, David Selby

5. "Epic Movie" (2007)

6. "Heaven's Gate" (1980)

7. "Sex Lives of the Potato Men" (2004)

8. "The Happening" (2008) with Mark Wahlberg, Zooey Deschanel

9. "Highlander 2: The Quickening" (1991)

10. "The Room" (2003)

Eric Balfour and Penny Marshall were among the Hollywood names that paid their respects to Brittany Murphy at the actress’s low-key funeral in Los Angeles. The Clueless star was laid to rest in a small, private funeral at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills cemetery on Christmas Eve.

A fleet of cars carrying close friends and family were escorted into the cemetery by police bikes shortly before three in the afternoon. The cemetery’s own security team and a dozen police cars were on hand to make sure the funeral stayed private and kept local media teams at bay.

The service, which took place at the Church of the Hills, inside the memorial park was a co-denominational affair, with both a rabbi and a pastor present. After the service, Murphy’s body was buried in the Bright Eternity section of the cemetery with around 20 close friends and family in attendance.
Family members and close friends were then left moved when Amazing Grace was sung by Murphy’s graveside. The pall-bearers included Eric Balfour, family friend Alex Ben Block, Chris Johnson, T.J. and Simon Balfour.

Notable absentees from both the service and the burial included Murphy’s father, Angelo Bertolotti and her half-brother Jeff Bertolotti. Movie heavyweights Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore and Alicia Silverstone were also absent.
Brittany Murphy was found unconscious in the bathroom of her Hollywood Hills home by her mom, Sharon Murphy last Sunday, December 20.

According to reports, a number of strong prescription medications were found in Murphy’s bedroom when paramedics were called to her Los Angeles home.
“A check of the nightstands revealed large amounts of prescription medication in the decedent's name," TMZ first reported after reviewing what they say were notes made by an investigator from the L.A. County Coroner's office. However, the autopsy concluded that there were no signs of trauma to Murphy’s body and the police did not suspect foul play.

"Clueless" Star Brittany Murphy Dead At 32

U.S. actress Brittany Murphy, who co-starred in such films as "Clueless" and "Girl, Interrupted" but saw her career wane in recent years, died in Los Angeles on Sunday after suffering cardiac arrest in her bathroom, officials said. She was 32.

Murphy was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center about 10 a.m. PST (1800 GMT), two hours after her mother reportedly found her unconscious in the shower of the actress' Hollywood Hills home. A spokesman for the Los Angeles County Coroner said there were no suspicious circumstances, but that an autopsy would take place in the next few days.

Celebrity gossip Web site TMZ, which first broke the news, reported late on Sunday that there was "a significant amount of vomit" in the bathroom area. It said Murphy had been taking medications for 'flu-like symptoms for several days, and that there were a lot of prescriptions in the house.

There was no immediate word from Murphy's publicist beyond a statement that was issued on behalf of her family: "The sudden loss of our beloved Brittany is a terrible tragedy. She was our daughter, our wife, our love and a shining star. We ask you to respect our privacy at this time."

Murphy starred in films opposite Michael Douglas, Ashton Kutcher, Eminem and Angelina Jolie, but failed to attain their level of success. In recent years, she worked mostly in low-budget movies, while her emaciated appearance sparked concerns about her health.

"(Today) the world lost a little piece of sunshine," Kutcher, a former boyfriend, wrote on his Twitter page. "(S)ee you on the other side kid."

Murphy was in the news earlier this month when she reportedly was fired from the Puerto Rico set of the indie thriller "The Caller." Her publicist said the split resulted from creative differences. When Murphy and her husband of two years, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, returned to Los Angeles, he lost consciousness on the plane and was rushed to hospital.

SMALL SCREEN SUCCESS

Murphy was last in theaters with the low-budget thriller "Across the Hall," which opened in one theater each in New York and Los Angeles two weeks ago. She recently finished work on the Sylvester Stallone action film "The Expendables."

Murphy was born in Atlanta on November 10, 1977, and raised in New Jersey. Accompanied by her mother, she moved to Los Angeles in the early 1990s in hopes of stardom.

She made her breakthrough in the 1995 feature comedy "Clueless," playing a frumpy schoolgirl who gets a makeover from Alicia Silverstone's character.

"I always felt connected to her as we shared a very special experience in our lives together," Silverstone said in a statement to People magazine. "I feel love in my heart for her -- and hope she is at peace. This is truly sad."

Murphy built on her momentum with a succession of TV roles and appeared in two films in 1999 -- "Drop Dead Gorgeous" and "Girl, Interrupted," for which Jolie received an Oscar.

Murphy worked with Douglas in the 2001 thriller "Don't Say a Word," and played Eminem's love interest in the 2002 hit "8 Mile."

The following year, she co-starred with Kutcher in the romantic comedy "Just Married," and played Dakota Fanning's babysitter in "Uptown Girls." But the movies failed to generate much commercial or critical heat. Her last major role was in the 2005 comic-book adaptation "Sin City."

Murphy enjoyed more enduring success on the small screen, providing the voice of the vacuous Texan Luanne Platter in the cartoon series "King of the Hill." She also voiced a penguin in the 2006 box office hit "Happy Feet."

In a tragic turn of events, Brittany Murphy has died at the age of 32. The actress went into cardiac arrest early Sunday morning in LA, and, despite being rushed to hospital, she was dead on arrival.

Murphy had her big film break at the age of 18 in Clueless. She appeared as Tai, one of the bubbly sidekicks to Alicia Silverstone's Cher.

From there, she scored small roles in the likes of Drop Dead Gorgeous and Drive, before winning some kudos for her performance in Girl, Interrupted.

Bigger parts followed, including leads in Cherry Falls, Don't Say A Word and an emotional turn alongside rapper Eminem in 8 Mile.

More recently, she appeared in Just Married with then-boyfriend Ashton Kutcher and Uptown Girls with Dakota Fanning.

She played Shellie for Robert Rodriguez in Sin City and also voiced Gloria in Happy Feet. But it was another voice-over role, that of Luanne in TV's King Of The Hill, for which many will remember her.

The actress has several films awaiting release, most notably The Expendables. She's survived by husband Simon Monjack.

Doing her part to improve the overall quality of life, Alicia Silverstone was spotted promoting her new book “The Kind Diet: A Simple Guide to Feeling Great, Losing Weight, and Saving the Planet” last night (October 8) in New York City.

The “Clueless” actress looked lovely as she hammed it up for the paparazzi at the Candle 79 restaurant on the Upper East Side, sporting a black blazer/dress combo.

“What I want is for people to realize you can be happy, look amazing and be kind to the planet all at the same time by following [a vegan] diet. I want to reach the people who take aspirin all the time for headaches, or reach for coffee in the morning for energy, or want to lose some weight. There is another solution.”
