L'Oreal was found guilty of racism in a French court last week for only using white women to promote a shampoo in France. Now civil rights groups in the country want spokesmodels Kate Winslet and Clive Owens, both Hollywood stars, to step down from their positions. They want the stars to take a moral stand by moving away from the cosmetics company.

A spokesperson for the Commission for Racial Equality said:

"We would ask those high-profile ambassadors to think carefully about whether or not they want to be associated with this organization. What a wonderful opportunity this could be to stand up to racism, to show that it simply has no place in today's society."

Simon Woolley of race campaign group The 1990 Trust adds:

"It is shameful that those on L'Oreal's payroll keep conveniently quiet. The correct thing to do would be to at least speak out or resign."

Meg Ryan and Matthew Perry are the new interesting and funny Hollywood couple, according to American magazine Us Weekly. Ryan, the 45-year-old former wife of Dennis Quiad, and the 37-year-old star from Friends, Perry, have been romantically involved for five months.

An insider tells the publication:

"Neither knows where it's going, but they love being together and are having fun."

Meg Ryan was married with actor Dennis Quaid from 1991 to 2001. Matthew Perry has dated Julia Roberts and Yasmin Bleeth in the past.

Dannii Minogue may seem to be a beautiful and kind sister to famous Kylie Minogue. But according to Brian Friedman, who is new judge alongside Dannii for the fourth season of the show X Factor, she can be compared to mean American Idol judge Simon Cowell.

Friedman says that Dannii reacted in fury when she was compared to her sister Kylie by one of the hopeful contestants - and even left some of them in tears with her mean comments.

Friedman explains:

"One girl came in for auditions and said 'I used to love Kylie'. Dannii didn't like being compared to sis Kylie and voted her out on the spot. She has left several contestants in tears - she's the meanest judge."

Well, to be honest I personally can't wait to see the new season of the show. I actually enjoy watching Simon Cowell make a crowd go 'buuuuh'!

Adele Silva, the 26-year-old star from Emmerdale, has signed a contract bringing her on board of the new series of Hell's Kitchen.

The actress plays Kelly Windsor in the ITV1 soap Emmerdale and according to Digital Spy she has told pals that she can't wait to battle against her rivals on the programme, where the contestants really need their cooking skills.

A friend says:

"She'll be in it to win it. She loves cooking and has made no secret of the fact she is a domestic goddess. Her friends often tease her because she loves staying at home baking rather than partying. She will certainly give the other celebs a run for their money."

Chef Marco Pierre-White will coach the contestants.

Britney Spears is enjoying her life as a single late at night. On May 16 she met Ryan Phillippe at the nightclub Les Deux and the two had some drinks, danced all night long and kissed. Afterwards they hooked up in the bathroom. A source reports:

"After several of Ryan’s buddies joined them at Britney’s table, Ryan excused himself and went into the nearby men’s room. On the spur of the moment, Britney followed. Alarmed, Britney’s bodyguards began pounding and screaming on the door. With no response from her, they went ballistic.

After calling out to Britney several more times asking if she was OK, they busted in the door and found Britney and Ryan groping and kissing each other."

Well, this might just be a rumor or Britney could be the one who has started all this. If she was too drunk to notice whether she was making out with Ryan Phillippe or a cheesecake that is.

I mentioned some days ago that Jessica Simpson and John Mayer weren't a couple anymore. Well, I guess that wasn't totally true. Mayer was spotted Tuesday sneaking into Jessica Simpson's hotel room and the two checked out together at noon.

They could just be really horny or really back together. Who knows?

Actress Mary McCormack, who played Kate Harper on the tv show The West Wing, gave birth to a girl last week. It's the second baby for 38-year-old McCormack and husband Michael Morris.

McCormack co-stars in next months 1408 - a thriller with John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson. Yep, i'm a big fan, so this is actually great news. Congratulations Mary McCormack!

You can't be a celebrity without getting caught eating lunch! Penelope Cruz and Josh Hartnett ate lunch together Friday afternoon, sources reveal to the gossip website PerezHilton.com.

"Josh was wearing a grey hoodie with black sunglasses and Penelope was wearing sunglasses too," says our spywitness. "They were trying to go incognito."
