Kate Moss has got engaged.

The supermodel was stunned when her rocker lover Jamie Hince flew out to join her while she was working on Caribbean island Mustique and popped the question on her 36th birthday on Saturday (16.01.10).

A source said: "Kate was stunned, Jamie called her up and told her not to come home. He said he was flying out to Mustique. He had carefully picked a ring and chose her birthday to propose. It was the first time they had been alone together in quite a while and it was extremely emotional.

"Kate and Jamie are in a very good place, they already live together and this is the next step to settling down for good."

Jamie - who has been dating Kate since 2007 - had picked out a diamond ring with the help of business tycoon Sir Philip Green, who is Kate's boss at British high street chain Topshop, who she designs clothes for.
