Making for quite the enjoyable family outing, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz took their son Bronx Mowgli to the Sea Cliffs exhibit at the LA Zoo on Wednesday (June 17).

An onlooker tells that the happy couple showed their tiny tot the aquarium along with other attractions, with Ashlee taking time to pose for a photograph with an excited fan.

Upon wrapping up their day's zoo outing, the trio headed towards the exits as Ashlee entertained Bronx with a Spongebob Squarepants toy while Pete pushed the stroller along.

The family time follows recent rumors of trouble in the marriage, as an insider told press, "Ashlee is having major problems with Pete right now. They fight constantly. She is seriously considering leaving him. They have been arguing a lot recently. They're in different places (in their lives)."

Debunking the breakup talk, a rep for Miss Simpson responded, "Ashlee and Pete are in a stable, happy marriage. They love one another and love being a family."
