New black and white photos of a "laughing, stylishly dressed Marilyn Monroe visiting the poet Carl Sandburg" have been discovered.  There are four images in total that were found and all of the pictures of the iconic American actress and sex symbol are for sale, listed between $2,000-$4,000.

"The two spent the rest of the afternoon bonding over conversation and cocktails, fostering a new friendship while Steckler quietly observed, his Nikon loaded with black and white film, nothing more than natural Northern light pouring through the windows."

More celebrity news...A date has been set for the trial of Howard K. Stern, Khristine Eroshevich and Sandeep Kapoor in relation to the death of Anna Nicole Smith. The three are accused of conspiring to illegally provide the former Playboy model with prescription drugs before she died and will stand before a judge on August 4 a hearing revealed Friday.
Radar Online reported that Stern was "spitting mad" outside the Los Angeles Superior Court following the hearing and claimed he was "outraged" with the accusations that he killed his former lover. Stern claims his innocence, and along with Smith's former psychiatrist Eroshevich and medical internist Kapoor has pled not guilty to felony charges against him.
Radar Online also reported that Stern can't wait to come back to the court and start the trial so he can be cleared. According to reports Stern also said that he is looking forward for the cross-examination part of his upcoming trial, stating that prosecution witnesses will be proven to be liars.

Couples news has two celebrity pairings going in opposite directions. Kate Walsh is single, her divorce from Alex Young was finalized by an LA court with the help of a coin toss!

Tiger Woods may need more luck than a flip of the coin if he is to get back in good graces with wife Elin Nordegren (pictured), but he may have a good head start as he has been reunited with his family, a report claims.

One - Kate Walsh and new ex-husband Alex Young have reached an agreement on divorce, and a coin toss was involved. E! Online is reporting that the California divorce was finalized in Los Angeles with the help of a coin toss for a division of some of the assets.
Oh the humanity! The only in Hollywood report muses, "The judge presiding over Kate Walsh's divorce settlement must really have Super Bowl fever. How else to explain why the division of their property assets has come down to the flip of a coin?" E! Online also tallies the way the loot was divided.

Two - Is Tiger Woods is out of sex rehab as reports are now claiming? No photos have yet emerged, but the latest report claims the golfer was picked up from the treatment center in Mississippi by Swedish wife Elin Nordegren and was thought to be on his way to see their two young children.
The website that broke the story of him entering the clinic for sex addiction says that Elin, a former bikini model, is standing by her man.  
Update - Radar Online is now reporting that Tiger is back at home, with his wife and kids.

Jennifer Aniston has one beautiful home. The spectacular photos of the house are snapped by photographer Scott Frances and are now online. Celebrity Real Estate watcher "Realestalker" notes that people just like her "around the globe have been sitting on pins and needles, jumpy with anticipation wanting some 411 on the Beverly Hills, CA house that former Friends star turned romantic comedy queen Jennifer Aniston has been renovating for the last couple of years."

The website adds that finally, now that "she's finished the do-over and moved her skinny butt into the house", she's had it photographed for Architectural Digest.
The reason - so that she could "celebrate the people who made it: the master craftsman who poured so much of themselves into its creation." Aniston gave her new estate the name Ohana, which means (extended) family in Hawaiian.

More Jen news...Angelina Jolie has got the better of Aniston in earnings by $1 million over the past year, according to Vanity Fair's Hollywood's Top 40 list.  Jolie raked in $21 million to put her at number 32 in Hollywood's highest earners list.
Aniston appeared at number 31, earning $20 million last year.

Hollywood split news - Two beauties are again single, sexy movie actress Charlize Theron has moved on from long-time boyfriend Stuart Townsend and TV star Kate Walsh (pictured) of ABC TV's Private Practice and Grey's Anatomy is now officially divorced from Alex Young after working out a settlement package. Follow both splits below.
One - Kate Walsh has agreed a settlement in her divorce from Alex Young, according to reports. The 42-year-old star was at the Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday facing off against Young working out a financial agreement. TMZ claim Young wanted several million dollars, but according to legal papers, he received $627,000 for his share of the community property.
Young also requested spousal support, but a judge refused and Walsh also got the pair's home, with artwork and furniture split between the pair.  

Young also gets half the residuals for the Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice episodes Walsh filmed while they were married and they have mutual restraining orders prohibiting each from harassing each other. Walsh married movie executive Alex Young on September 1, 2007.
They were married in the Ojai Presbyterian Church in Ojai, north of Los Angeles. On December 11, 2008, it was announced that Young filed for divorce after 15 months of marriage.

Two - Charlize Theron is single. Graeme Massie reports, "The South African-born star reportedly split from the Irish actor after nine years over Christmas. Theron was spotted at the recent Haiti telethon without her commitment ring.

TV News - Kate Gosselin will be back on "The View" as the mother of eight has scheduled a guest appearance for March.  Sexy Twilight and New Moon hunk Robert Pattinson is also scheduled on the morning talk show in March as well.

Prime Time on ABC...Sheryl Crow (pictured) is taking a break from music to star in Courteney Cox comedy Cougar Town The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter will appear in multiple episodes of the hit US show playing bar owner Grayson's new girlfriend, according to reports.
Sources claim that Crow, 47, will play a wine distributor on the show. Crow's last Hollywood outing was as the voice of Elvis in the 2006 animated film Cars.

More TV buzz...Lost star Matthew Fox has said he is thrilled that the show is finally finishing. Fox, 43, has played the role of Dr Jack Shephard since the programme started in 2004 and said it will be a nice change to try something different.
He said to UK's Live magazine: "I want a new life - I am thrilled Lost is finally over. I've spent five years as Dr Jack Shephard. It's been a crazy experience but I want more."
"I want to do films, I want to do theater, I want to be different people. It's made my name and made me famous all over the world. "I've won awards for it and it's possibly the best TV series that has ever been made, but nothing beats leaping back into the unknown. Filming the very last show was a mix of sadness and pure exhilaration for me."

Simpson Comedy Show - Joe Simpson, father and manager of pop stars Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, is developing a Nickelodeon comedy series loosely based on his real-life experience as a psychologist raising two daughters in Texas.

The untitled project centers on one of the daughters who begins imitating her father and giving life advice to other kids in her school.

Emily Cutler (ABC's "Carpoolers") is writing the script, with Simpson and veteran tween and teen series producer Tommy Lynch executive producing.

Following his daughters' success, Simpson has segued into producing, shepherding Jessica and Ashlee's TV projects and, most recently, the ABC drama series "Women's Murder Club."

Lynch has a long-standing relationship with Nickelodeon, having produced such Nick series as "South of Nowhere," "Romeo!" and most recently "The Troop."

Jamie Lynn Spears Split From Casey Aldridge - U.S. actress Jamie Lynn Spears has broken up with her longtime boyfriend Casey Aldridge, UsMagazine.com said Friday.

The former couple are the parents of a 19-month-old daughter, Maddie Briann.

Spears, who is the 18-year-old sister of pop star Britney Spears and the former star of the Nickelodeon show "Zoey 101," has kept a low-profile since giving birth to her daughter at the age of 17 in June 2008.

She reportedly is raising her child in her native Louisiana.

If the expression slow and steady wins the race is true, then actress Anna Kendrick has finally edged her way to the front of Hollywood's pack of young actresses.

This week, Kendrick, 24, earned a supporting actress Oscar nomination for her work in "Up in the Air," playing a perky young executive out to teach George Clooney's character how to fire people in the modern-day world of computer communication.

The Oscar nod -- her first -- followed her role in November's box office hit "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," and this week Vanity Fair anointed her one of the fresh faces to watch in its annual Hollywood issue.

But the truth is, Kendrick's "fresh face" has been racking up accolades on stage and in independent films for years before she hit the mainstream jackpot with the "Twilight" movies and now "Up in the Air."

Still, this past week's Oscar nomination and the month of awards shows and critical acclaim that came before it have caught Kendrick in a whirlwind of big-time Hollywood publicity that she still can't quite grasp.

"There's always a part of you that's going to feel like a version of yourself that couldn't find a job and you wonder what tricks you pulled to get into the party," Kendrick told Reuters.

While she may not have been in the Oscar "party" before, it's not the first time, Kendrick has won the hearts and minds of critics and fans. At age 12, she was the third youngest Tony Award nominee for her role in Broadway musical "High Society."

Five years later, her singing and dancing wowed audiences in the 2003 musical film "Camp." It was Kendrick's first-ever movie and resulted in an Independent Spirit Award nomination. A second Indie Spirit nod followed with 2007's "Rocket Science."

Yet, nothing could possibly prepare Kendrick for the frenzy surrounding Hollywood awards -- the media attention, black-tie affairs and red carpets at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards, where she also earned nods for "Up in the Air."

"I won't feel the full effects of this until (the Academy Awards) are over," she said. "I feel like I've got to come out on the other side first."

POST-OSCAR

But already, that "other side" is shaping up quite rosy for Kendrick. Later this month she begins shooting her first post-"Up in the Air" project, an untitled comedy with Seth Rogen and James McAvoy for Mandate Pictures.

"I'm just happy to get back to work," says Kendrick. "I've been so focused on 'Up in the Air' and awards season that I haven't read any scripts in a long time. I haven't had an audition or taken a meeting in ages."

The project stemmed from a more general meeting Kendrick had with Mandate last summer before "Air" was even released. Several different projects were bandied about at that time, then this past holiday season, Mandate called with an offer for Kendrick to star in the Rogen/McAvoy comedy.

It was the first time, Kendrick did not have to audition for a film part, which came with great relief.

"I'm not a really good auditioner, so it took a lot of the load off me," she said.

She still has one more "Twilight" film, "Eclipse," due in theaters on June 30. In the saga, Kendrick portrays Jessica Stanley, a friend and classmate of lead character Bella Swan. It is a small role, but enough to make her a recognizable face to her fans without overshadowing the rest of her career.

"I've been really lucky to not be defined completely by that series," says Kendrick.

The entire cast originally signed contracts for the first three installments, and Kendrick said she still does not know if her character will be in the fourth film, "Breaking Dawn."

"I honestly feel like Jessica is one of those characters that if she wasn't in the movie, nobody would miss her," she says. "At the same time, I feel a certain affection for the films so if they ask me, I would love to. I don't have my fingers crossed either way."

Reality TV News - Pamela Anderson (pictured) has signed up to appear on Dancing With The Stars, reports have claimed. The one-time Baywatch babe will appear on the upcoming series of the show, a source close to the star has revealed.

How long will Pam last if she does appear as a contestant?  Many predict the move is likely to boost male viewing figures, and the claim is that Anderson, 42, and the show have agreed to all terms for a deal and the deal is done, the source said.
"Pam is thrilled and so is the show,” the mole said.

Donny Osmond was crowned champion on the previous season of the popular program, which has also featured Heather Mills, Kelly Osbourne and Jerry Springer. “She really wanted to do the show and the show thought it was a great idea,” the source said.
More Pam news and gossip...Anderson is reportedly planning to buy a home by the British seaside. The 42-year-old, who appeared in panto over Christmas in the UK, is said to be looking at properties near to the coast.

Dolly Parton gets up at 3am to put her make-up on.

The country singer - who has had a number of cosmetic surgery procedures, including having her breasts enlarged to a 40DD cup - still takes a great deal of pride in her appearance at 64 and likes to look perfect for her husband Carl Dean when he wakes up.

Dolly - who has been wed to Carl for 44 years - said: "I usually get up at 3am. I don't require a lot of sleep and if I get tired, I'll take a powernap during the day.

"When my Carl is awake, I'll put on my make-up and roll my hair a little, because I don't want to look bad for him, do I?"

Dolly also insists she never had sex with anyone to further her career when she was starting out in the tough, male dominated country music industry.

She said in an interview with the Daily Mail newspaper: "When starting out, I looked easy and people didn't take me seriously. I always looked like I could be had and I still do! But the truth was, I couldn't.

"I'd be offered jobs and then before the deal was done, they'd say, 'Would you like to come up to my room?'

"I'd say, 'I don't need the job that bad, and I'll never do that to get ahead.'

"People still thought I was cheap and though it was painful at times, I knew that that talk would be short-lived."

Dolly also rubbished rumours of affairs with any of her handsome film co-stars, which include Burt Reynolds and Sylvester Stallone, saying she could never love anyone other than the reclusive Carl, a former construction worker.

The 'Valentine's Day' actress says Honor Marie - her 19-month-old child with husband Cash Warren - is so stubborn the only way she can get her to tuck in at mealtimes is by forbidding her from doing so.

Jessica explained: "She likes to do everything her way. She loves saying 'no,' it's her favourite word.

"Now, she won't eat unless I tell her not to eat. I have to use reverse psychology. I'm like, 'Don't eat your vegetables!' And she looks at me and, in defiance, eats her broccoli."

Jessica, 28, decided to call her daughter Honor after a friend expressed a liking for the name if she ever had more children.

She explained on US TV show 'Live with Regis and Kelly': "I told my girlfriend that I was pregnant early on, and she was like, 'I'm not having any more kids but if I was going to have one, I would name her Honor.' It was just random and it stuck with us. We liked it."

Penelope Cruz didn't know she had been nominated for an Oscar.

The actress - who is among the nominees for Best Supporting Actress at the forthcoming Academy Awards for her role in 'Nine' - didn't find out she had received the nod for over an hour after everyone else because she recently changed her phone number.

She is quoted as saying: "I had a new phone line installed and so almost no one had the new number of the house. Only my agent had it and she was in Australia.

"So they had to get a hold of her first so she could give them the number of the house, and I found out an hour later.

"I had 19 missed calls and 120 emails and text messages. So for two hours I was returning calls."

Despite taking up so much of her time responding to messages, Penelope - who is believed to be engaged to Javier Bardem - says it was a "beautiful" day.

She added: "It is beautiful to talk to all the people that love you and care for you and get excited for you about something like this. It was a beautiful day."

Penelope, 35, won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar last year for her performance in 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona' and recently admitted she loves the gold statue so much, she even takes it on day trips.

Drew Barrymore won't spend Valentine's Day with her boyfriend, but its only because she tries to be a loving girlfriend every day and so doesn't want to turn the romantic festival into a big occasion, reports the Boston Globe.
Barrymore sparked rumors earlier that she had got engaged after her Facebook status was changed to say 'Engaged'. However, her rep has said the status change means nothing and talking of the rumors, the rep added: "Not true."

Kim's plans...Reality star Kim Kardashian is hosting a Queen Of Hearts Ball to celebrate Valentine's Day. The 29-year-old beauty, who is dating New Orleans Saints star Reggie Bush, will be hosting the bash at the Lavo club on The Palazzo in Las Vegas.
She wrote on her blog: "Anyone going to be in Las Vegas for Valentine's Day weekend? "I'm hosting a pre-Valentine's day affair, The Queen of Hearts Ball, at Lavo at The Palazzo on Saturday February 13 and it should be a lot of fun! Hope to see all you lovers in Vegas! :)."

About the married couple...Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore have decided to give their love to other people on Valentine’s Day. The famous couple usually go crazy to show how much they care for each other on February 14. But now actor Kutcher has revealed this year they have decided to send flowers to women caught up in trafficking instead.
He told Entertainment Tonight: “Demi and I have done enough Valentine's Days together, where it's sort of like, we kind of set the bar pretty high early… “At a certain point we look at each other and go: ‘We’re not going to go crazy this year.’

“So this year we decided, instead of doing a big crazy thing for each other, that we'd share our love together with other people.
“So there is this organization in New York that works with traffic girls, so we are going to make all the girls that work with this organisation, our valentines this year. “And we are going to send them all flowers for Valentine’s Day, so these girls that are trafficking know they can be loved without anybody expecting anything in return.”

Brooklyn Decker (pictured) might just be the next Sports Illustrated Cover Girl for the swimsuit edition. Lindsey Vonn is a gorgeous and talented skier and she is a cover girl for the sports magazine right now. That has actually created a bit of controversy from a website that believes that she is only on the cover for her sexuality.

Gather.Com notes that one particular website that really is unhappy with the cover and slams SI for their covers of women. The post notes the opinion of the writer, "When females are featured on the cover of SI, they are more likely than not to be in sexualized poses and not in action-and the most recent Vonn cover is no exception."

See the Lindsey Vonn Sports Illustrated cover here - she looks as good as always, and take note, she is a fine athlete. This seems like much ado over nothing.
About that swimsuit cover...Radio host and Direct TV personality Dan Patrick is pushing for supermodel Brooklyn Decker (the wife of tennis superstar Andy Roddick) for the cover.

Photographs of Marilyn Monroe appearing relaxed and lounging around a New York apartment nine months before she died were unveiled on Friday after being held in a private archive for more than 45 years.

Photographer Len Steckler shot the black-and-white images of Monroe when she unexpectedly arrived at his apartment in December, 1961, to visit his friend, Pulitzer-prize winning poet Carl Sandburg. Steckler is offering them for a sale as a limited edition series called "Marilyn Monroe: The Visit."

The pictures to be sold -- four single images and two triptychs, or pictures in three parts -- show Monroe wearing pointed, thick-rimmed sunglasses and a short sleeve dress while talking and laughing with Sandburg. Also offered will be 250 prints of each piece.

"It was serendipitous with these two icons in their moment and me there with my camera," Steckler told Reuters, saying he was "like a fly on the wall" while he shot Monroe, then 35, and Sandburg, 83, while they chatted and held hands.

Steckler, a former commercial fashion and beauty photographer who is now "about 80" and lives in Los Angeles, said on the afternoon Monroe visited, Sandburg had mentioned in a casual manner that they would soon have "a visitor."

"Hours later I went to open the door and there I was face to face with Marilyn Monroe, and she looked more ravishing than on the screen," he said. "She said 'I am sorry I am late. I was at the hairdressers, matching my hair to Carl's.'"

Monroe's hair does indeed appear like Sandburg's in the pictures, almost white, said Steckler, and he added that after he took the photos, they all drank Jack Daniels whiskey.

"As we know, Marilyn loved older men, she loved the intellectuals -- and Carl was very parental with her," said Steckler. "It was a lovely thing to see."

The actress died in August, 1962, and Sandburg, who won Pulitzer prizes for his poetry and for a biography of Abraham Lincoln, died seven years later.

Steckler said he decided to sell the photos after his son discovered the negatives in a recent appraisal of his work, and Steckler thought "the current generation" needed to see them.

"I had forgotten about them," he said. "And I thought this would be a good thing to show and for them to talk about."

The pieces range in price from $1,999 to $3,999 and have never been published for public use.

They are on sale at www.thevisitseries.com and by phone with collectibles dealer Eagle National Mint, who is offering a certificate of authenticity for each print.
